Hydroelectric rudder and sail tractor

by Verna » 02/02/08, 14:30

bonjou,

I deposited 2 systems relating to the boat and the ecology:

1 ° / The rudder turbine, here is the description:

My system consists of placing a tidal turbine on the rudder of a sailboat without an internal combustion engine, much like a dynamo on a bicycle.

This turbine will recharge a battery, and allow the sailboat to have electricity by the very simple installation of this device (three holes in the rudder, and two bolts / nuts).

In addition to the advantage of having electricity on board, the turbine is transformed into an engine by the tilting of a contactor, this will allow the boat to get out of bad steps in case of wind drop, this allows port maneuvers , etc ……

For large sailboats, the principle remains the same, except for the power of the tidal turbine which will be regulated according to the desired ratio "battery charge / vessel speed".
Current electronics make it very easy to manage the opposing PTO at speed.
On the other hand, a hydraulic lifting system allows the turbine to be removed from the water: either voluntarily when speed is preferred, or automatically when the batteries are charged.
This innovation, mounted on a large sailboat, allows it to be freed from a thermal propulsion engine, in case of problem (lack of wind, drift towards pitfalls), and in case the batteries are discharged , a generator set is started to save the situation.
This system is visible on my site: http://inventions.a.verna.free.fr/pagehydrolienne.htm

2 ° / A concept of freestanding free sailing published on my site:

http://inventions.a.verna.free.fr/voile.htm

My system is better than that of "Skysails": published here: https://www.econologie.com/forums/insolite-l ... t2175.html , in the sense that in the event of a drop in wind, the self-supporting sail cannot fall into the water, because it is carried by gas (s) lighter than air, this avoids the loss of time inherent in recovering the waterlogged sail, or entangling it in the propeller.

I am looking for a partner (s) to develop these inventions.

If you require further information, I remain at your disposal.

Sincerely,

Christophe Verna 05.56.29.06.
