Taser: a really harmless gun?

by Other » 23/11/07, 00:45

Hello

Certainly you know this electric pistol, which the police use, to subdue an individual.
Unfortunately there were 3 deaths, yet they persist, with the use of this pistol said that those who died had a heart weakness, : Evil:
the pistol projects two points connected by small files and gives a strong discharge.
Where I have difficulty understanding is that there are electric collars for dogs, cow fences and you never hear that an animal has died from electrocution.
To have the length of the spark of this gun I suppose a voltage rather, higher than 10000 volts, to see the color of the spark an auto spark plug is small beer.
After how many deaths will they stop playing with these gagets?

There is a video on youtube which shows how a 45 year old Pole died in Canada with this kind of weapon.
He had come to say hello to his mother ....

The whole page of this link:

And yes, it's not about to stop, with our Master-Slave company ...
: Evil:
Our good President, while he was Minister of the Interior, hurried, as VRP of the USA, to generalize this system in France.
(After having tested it during an intervention by the GIPM, by tasering a scuffle of gypsies).

The problem is, the cop who uses it, had to go through it, to see the effect it had.
And as sometimes, he does not want to take any risk, or a little sadistic, he shoots first, just to benefit dangerous individuals, but also to close the valve to people arrested unnecessarily, or who dare to be arrogant.
Cowboys will become widespread… (Accidents too…).

UN calls Taser use "form of torture"

NOUVELOBS.COM (25.11.2007) wrote:The UN Committee against Torture affirms that the use of electric guns, in service in France since 2006, constitutes "a form of torture" and "can even cause death".
The use of the tasers constitutes "a form of torture" and "can even cause death", affirmed Friday (November 23) the Committee of the United Nations against torture.
"In some cases (the use of these weapons) can even cause death, as proven by reliable studies and recent facts in practice", argued the Committee.

The recommendations

The Committee issued this opinion in recommendations issued on Friday to the Portuguese state, which purchased 'Taser X26' electric weapons intended for various police forces.
Portugal "should consider renouncing the use of 'Taser X26' electric weapons, the consequences of which on the physical and mental state of targeted persons would violate" the provisions of the UN Anti-Torture Convention, recommended the experts.

Several deaths

The Taser has been in service in France since 2006. 1.700 Taser have already been delivered to the gendarmes and used 42 times since the beginning of 2007, according to the gendarmerie. The police received 1.100. The Interior Ministry announced that municipal police officers may soon be equipped with it.
Taser guns were recently implicated in the deaths of two men in Canada and three others in the United States.
