Remundo wrote:Hello Dede,

Thank you for your question. The answer is simple: when one travels less than 50 km, power pack capacity is sufficient not to start the engine (or almost no). We drive in almost 100% electric, and fuel consumption is close to zero.

It is always better to maximize the power pack when available renewable electricity because the E85 includes a share of non-renewable fuel (15% of fossil fuel type SP95-SP98).

I suppose we must still switch to the ordinary engine after a hundred kilometers.

8th cycle of 100h completed, the exact day of the 2th anniversary of the GTE85 PLUS

5122km traveled with only 2,7 L / 100 km from E85!

Consumption:
* Fuel: 2,7 L / 100 km
* Electricity: 8.2 kWh / 100 km

Actual costs for 100 km:
* Fuel: 2,7 L / 100 km x 0.58 € / L = 1.56 €
* Electricity: 8,2 kWh x 0.18 € / kWh = 1.48 €
Total: 3,04 € / 100 km

Consumption for 100 km:
* in all thermal: 6 L / 100 km
* In all electric: 15 kWh / 100 km

Financial economy, compared to conventional SP95 to 1,55 € / L for 6 L / 100km:
(1.55 € / L x 6 L / 100km - 3.04 € / 100km)
X 5122 km = 320.63 €

CO2 emissions: reduction of an 8 factor,

BALANCE: to date the GTE85 + cumulates:
* 800h driving
* 42 264 km traveled
* 2 543. 10 € fuel economy
* about 5300 kg of CO2 that have not been released into the atmosphere (based on 6L / 100km - 143.5 gCO2 / km: 6066 kg emitted in fossil fuel and factor 8)

Hello to all Econologists,

SYCOMOREEN presents its best wishes for health and success for this new year 2019.

Here is the record on 2 years of driving experiences at the GTE85 PLUS Golf

* more 800h test, 42264 km traveled, 2543 € fuel economy
* of which 25000 km powered in electric mode and 17000 km in thermal
* no failure to report
* reduction of CO2 emissions by 7 factor to 8
* about 3 € / 100 km.

More details in Ad sycomoréenne of 01 / 01 / 2019

You will also find on this same page a action plan proposed by SYCOMOREEN for the energy transition in France in the social and political context that we know.

9th cycle of 100h completed for GTE85 PLUS

4853km traveled with only 3,3 L / 100 km from E85!

Consumption:
* Fuel: 3,3 L / 100 km
* Electricity: 8 kWh / 100 km

Actual costs for 100 km:
* Fuel: 3,3 L / 100 km x 0.56 € / L = 1.85 €
* Electricity: 8 kWh x 0.18 € / kWh = 1.44 €
Total: 3,29 € / 100 km

Consumption for 100 km:
* in all thermal: 6 L / 100 km
* In all electric: 15 kWh / 100 km

Financial economy, compared to conventional SP95 to 1,50 € / L for 6 L / 100km:
(1.50 € / L x 6 L / 100km - 3.29 € / 100km)
X 4853 km = 277.11 €

CO2 emissions: reduction of an 6 factor,

Golf GTE85 PLUS gets its technical test on Tuesday 16 April 2019 without any failures noted. The results on the quality of combustion are particularly good (the fuel used was approximately a blend of 50% ethanol and 50% unleaded gasoline):
- CO (carbon monoxide) at idle: 0.08% (standard <0,3%)
- CO at fast idle: 0.06% (standard <0.2%)
- richness (lambda coefficient): 1.025 (tolerance: from 0,97 to 1,03)

Thanks to the reprogramming of LR Performance, the exhaust gases are therefore low pollution and the carburation is quite rich, which is confirmed by the state of candles observed in March. The results would probably have been even better using only E85 fuel.

A little reminder of the influence of the lambda coefficient and of the catalytic converter on emissions of pollutants

* CO: carbon monoxide
* HC: imbricated hydrocarbons
* NOx: nitrogen oxides (NO-NO2)

Hello,

How do you explain that there is more NOx with cata than without lean mixture? They form in the catamaran?

Otherwise, I do not understand the scale in mV of the ordinate, the mV are directly related to the lambda air ratio.
