Re: Microalgae: BFP Plankton Fuel Plant in Alicante
The apparent interest of the process is to convert solar energy into a liquid hydrocarbon highly compatible with our existing energy system. However, it would be necessary to go beyond the marvelous comments of the service blonde in order to correctly assess the energy balance of the operation, as well as the reality and the extent of the negative externalities (I speak obviously out of the consequences of the use final, since it does not differ from the usual fuels).

All in all, Ahmed, starting with the energy balance of the CO2 extraction of a cement plant far from negligible. https://energieetenvironnement.com/2018 ... u-carbone/
What kind of help does this factory receive? perhaps the only economic reason for such a project as for some sectors of the renewable?

It is true that subsidies are often the only reason for this kind of project and, as in the previous case, ultimately a transformation of solar energy, at the economic level it is less sought to capitalize by productions that are too unprofitable for that, than to use it as a pretext to extract this profit from public aid, reinforced by the real payers ( taxpayers) by propaganda relating to "green illusions" and the valiant "fight for the climate" (sic!).

Why bring out this old video on BFS while BFS went bankrupt in October 2015!
See my post above.

Verification done
https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bio_Fuel_SystemsFor Lafarge, which conducted tests with its German partner Salata on one of its sites, the overall energy and CO2 process balance sheet is not satisfactory and at least ten years of research will still be required. needed to improve this7 balance.
The experimental plant opened by BFS in Spain in Alicante must close in 2014 ; the other planned plants have never been commissioned8,2.

Re: Microalgae: BFP Plankton Fuel Plant in Alicante
It's not because BFS sank that the principle is not good: microalgae is the future of oil (combined with the Laigret process ... for example ...)
