We are a bit off topic here ... I split the subject?

Didier, do you have a suggestion for a title? Since everything has deviated from your message on your VAE : Cheesy:

I'm going to be less talkative these next few times: I broke my mouth on an electric bike yesterday and I did it right - double fracture on the right shoulder ...

Already with two hands it's tedious for me to chat, but with only one finger of my left hand, I get overtaken by the slugs.

So don't worry more than that!

Ouch! Who says shoulder says blocking of the shoulder / arm / hand with immobilization! Good luck Didier!

I think that here, we will hardly talk about it any longer ...

That said, a thread on electric bikes may be of interest: as already said, "if I would have known ...", at least I was warned!

Ahmed wrote:I just bought a "hybrid" bike (a recent occasion), but being aware (sic!) Of the interest of the mid-engine, this is the formula that I adopted. In addition to a better balance, this assembly allows the engine to turn at a more optimal speed during major efforts, thanks to the derailleur. The proportionality of the assistance to the effort on the pedal also ensures a very smooth transition in forward motion.
It will replace an old steamer, failed at the CT and yet perfectly up to ... African standards! : Wink:

Your purchase interests me a lot Ahmed! Including the brand, model and price. Of course it must be difficult to find an opportunity?
Thank you for your answer .

Good opportunities are rare, but you just need to be patient.

I looked for an AVEO Chevrolet LPG, because it is an original LPG equipment and the engine was adapted (valves, seats, piston) ... I was looking not too mileage and not too expensive ... I ended up finding: 34 km, 000 euros ...

Uh we will really have to divide this subject ... We are no longer talking about the vegetable garden there.

An idea for a didier title?

After the vegetable garden of the lazy ... I propose a subject dedicated to the displacements of the lazy? : Cheesy:

@ Mixieer56
These are the "Néomouv" * brand and the "Kalyso" model with a 36v battery and the largest capacity in the range => 90 km of theoretical autonomy. I bought from a bicycle rental company who sells equipment at the end of the season that he bought at the start; therefore, they are still under warranty (remaining duration 1 1/2 years) and have been well maintained; they are also sold after overhaul and, possibly, change of wearing parts. All this being included in the price: 1190 € **, which seems quite reasonable to me given the above. I specify that, of course, it is possible to try it before purchase.

* Of course, it is a Chinese manufacture.
** For this model. Others, of the same brand, are also available, but with wheel motors, cheaper, but less interesting in my opinion.

Electric bike: an acceptable compromise?

To meet the wish of Christophe I open this thread dedicated to "hybrid" bikes. 8)
To introduce it with a smile, I offer this new chronicle of Guillaume Meurice who, despite its title, talks a lot about the bike and its use:
