Re: The latest figures from global warming
The most obvious conclusion that can be drawn from these two pieces of information is that it is useless to worry too much about global warming and greenhouse gas emissions.
There are many other urgent needs to be addressed before these trivialities, as our German friends and various pressure groups organized in a network for their release loudly claim ...
We will see all these ridiculous climate stories later.

Whether or not to maintain nuclear power in our small countries will have little impact on global warming on a global scale (1), but it will have a strong impact on keeping our economy afloat.
Concerning the inertia in the face of global warming, we can allow ourselves to think that only an unpleasant event (global economic crash, world war, global pandemic (2) could really influence the production of GHG emissions ...
(1) Nuclear is something like 5% of world energy production and 11,5% of electricity production in the world.
(2) The memes of exponential economism are too powerful to suggest the only solution in ecological matters: decay.

No figures but a confirmation of the link between the heat wave and the RC
the study that is timely to understand the link with global warming.
the study that is timely to understand the link with global warming.
"The sign of climate change is unambiguous," the WWA statement insisted. "What used to be seen as unusually warm weather will become commonplace. In some cases it is already happening," said Friederike Otto, researcher at the Environmental Change Institude in Oxford.
But WWA researchers make a difference between the various regions. For the Netherlands, Denmark and Ireland, they estimate that climate change has "more than doubled the probability of the current heat wave", underlines Geert Jan van Oldenborgh, researcher at the Dutch Meteorological Institute KNMI .
On the other hand, for the four stations further north, the data only allows them to conclude that climate change has increased the probabilities of current heat without quantifying this probability.
"For the resort in the far north, on the Arctic Circle, the current heat wave is simply extraordinary, unprecedented in historical data," noted Geert Jan van Oldenborgh ... https://www.huffingtonpost.fr/2018/07/2 ... _23490890/

He notes that there are "some small contradictions between the objectives pursued by the government"!
Another remark, he presents the hypothetical measures of fight against the RC as "sacrifices", as much to say that it is a speech which justifies the causes of which he deplores the consequences!

Europe and France are currently undergoing an exceptional heat wave with particularly high temperatures, a direct consequence of global warming, "as climatologist Jean Jouzel explains on Europe 1"
Thirty-four French departments were placed in orange vigil because of the heat wave that hits the country.
In Scandinavia, record temperatures are recorded and entire forests set ablaze. Faced with this unprecedented situation, "Jean Jouzel" warns of the imminent danger that climate change represents for these "countries not at all prepared to face forest fires".
"We are entering another world"
This extreme heat, however, has only just begun: "even after ten years or so, record temperatures, which are currently 42 or 43 degrees in France, risk increasing by two to three degrees. In the second part. this century, if nothing is done to fight against global warming, we could have record temperatures in France which reach 50 degrees over a large part of France, or even 55 degrees in eastern France. in another world, now is the time to act "," worries Jean Jouzel on Franceinfo ".
The heat and drought, in addition to ravaging territories, will kill more and more individuals: "If we take Europe, in this context of warming, the number of deaths linked to climatic disasters would be multiplied by 50. We could pass up to 150 deaths in Europe linked to global warming and in particular to heat waves ", also indicates Jean Jouzel.
