Indeed, I thought that the limitation to 15A was to be interpreted only on the panel side but the Victron 100/15 datasheet indicates with a 12V battery a maximum power of panels of 220W against 440W with a 24V battery.


In addition, there is also a note: A PV array with a higher short circuit current can damage the controller.


Suddenly, I would see two options:
  • Replace with a Victron 100/30 (at least) which supports 440W in 12V and leave the panels in parallel
  • Replace a Victron 100/15, pass the panels in series and switch the battery to 24V.

The calculated power must roughly correspond to the nominal output power, losses subtracted.
