Too bad we have not yet found a way to make the "round the dial" (make them perennial as at home) tomatoes in our latitudes ...

We would have tomato trees

some news

Planted 25kg of potatoes, at the beginning with a blow of burrow .... but very quickly just by putting them on the bare ground before covering with a good layer of straw ...

Only downside straw comes from boots that separate into slices of ten cm already decomposed (the straw is from last year) but quite compact ....

To know if the potatoes will manage to pierce this?

An image that gives a vague idea of this checkered straw flagstones

Image

After sowing were diversified: beans, radish, salad, cauliflower ...

As for garlic, it's going on in its 3 different places

We have already eaten sometimes lamb's lettuce sown in the fall but hey it's not the top Cambrai we seem better than the Louviers galley to pick up ...

In all cases even if it's good it remains "microscopic" : Mrgreen:

Will have to try something else next year ...

Image

Strawberries more decorative than frankly nourishing that were there before us flourish, but the question arises on the size of the leaves ....

The whole massif has rather small leaves

Image

And next to a rosebush we find leaves that are double the others ...
Since we do not know anything about it, we ask your lights to clarify this strangeness: is this normal?

Image

We started to install watering (future buried), that's the top and it's cheap

It also gives a small view of the greenhouse: a lot of salads, that Mrs. transplant as and when, the chard last year that start again, they really seem to enjoy.

Tomatoes in the ground on the left under the plastic bottles is a failure to date but hey we did it in bad conditions.

I did it again a little differently and with the ground of the corner and not of the ground: to follow

Note in our unique market gardener (triple protection and cie) of the corner they are between 2 and 10cm ... short everyone is in the fluff this year.

Image

A view of the garden outside a little empty for the moment but with the cherry trees that grow ....

Image

A question to finish .... these sheets what is it ???
It looks like potatoes but I doubt it

Previous photo response ... these are not potato leaves. Image

Strongly that the experience goes into my noggin Image

Here are the first leaves of potatoes from the first "sowing"

Image

I cross my fingers for the second who must cross a sacred pile of straw rather compact Image

Part of late sowing but outside tomatoes ....

This year did not have the time to do the java of last year sowing inside and go in and out the bazaar ....

Image

So this afternoon we went for a walk to the market gardener of the valley to buy some plants that were put in the greenhouse.

Image

In the greenhouse we also did direct sowing of tomatoes that are starting to come out.

Ditto in plastic bottles outside

For the direct sowing of the garden I do not distinguish them yet ... if I distinguish them one day

To secure I will return next week to take some plants for outdoor garden because the night from Sunday to Monday appears as risky ... so much that they grow in the shelter at the market gardener who planned to cover everything (hello the job ) in his greenhouses during this famous night ..

I do not know who was afraid that a hard ground prevents the vegetables from pushing ... well the fragile salads they make fun of it and perforate the feet of the greenhouse like butter

Image

And I swear to you that here you have to dig with a pickaxe to make a hole .... it's concrete

Salads outside this time ... all-terrain adventurers in a hostile environment Image

Question ... this anthill earth seems to me very appetizing, a little like that of the molehill, very light and everything and everything

Am I right?

The eggplants...

Our seedlings under the greenhouse

Image

and ditto tomatoes ... a few purchases of the day

Image

I did direct sowing of aubergine outdoors a few days ago to see

Again I will secure with some plants next week.

We are curious to see what the race will give between late sowing (aubergines and tomatoes) and the vegetables of the market gardener ....

Question....

peas from last year that pushed back on their own

Image

peas this year

Image

Uh, there is a problem

Those of last year who pushed back spontaneously are much more ahead than those of this year it is undeniable

The question is: should not sow the peas against the season, style in the fall ???

The same with parsnips ... from last year

Image

What is the point of sowing in season?
