I have a similar problem and you might be able to help me.
I have an okofen pellematic smart boiler and it is constantly failing "smoke wind", I find in the fireplace full of pellets not burnt, soot etc.
I soon thought that the ducts were obstructed but I did not find anything, the fan seems to work properly ..
It seems that there is a draw problem (big white smoke, muffled fire).
It started during the first cold weather of this winter and since impossible to make it work so much to tell you that it is urgent: /

Thank you in advance for your answers

Have you checked (this was the problem indicated at the beginning of this thread) that enough air is coming into your boiler room?

By doing a test by opening doors or opening (vasistas ...) between your boiler room and the outside to check if the phenomenon continues. If you already have a direct opening and properly dimensioned your boiler to the outside it is not worth it, it is something else.

We had traded elsewhere, I think.

At what level do you see "big white smoke" ????

Because precisely, with condensation, leaving the duct on the roof, there is not much steam to condense and plume, at home, is barely seen (on the roof) ...

It reminds me of pellets that have taken moisture.

I suggest you do a check as follows:

a) weigh a layer of 1 / 2 cm pellets in an open dish in the microwave; to note
b) micro-onder 1 mn, redo the weighing; Normally, it's lighter because water has been evaporated
c) stir the pellets a bit, start again; reweigh
etc etc as long as the weight goes down ... Stop when it does not go down or the pellets start to brown ...

Warning: always stay close, it can catch fire !!!!

You should have max 8% humidity (legally, max 10%): weight of the water (the difference between the first and the last weighing) / final weight (supposed to be the dry weight)

I think there is enough air, I tested opening the door and the result is the same.
I just thought about the quality of the pellets.
I'm going to test it tonight and you want to inform.

Kind regards.

Good, case then ranked for air. So you have a direct air intake from outside in your boiler room?

I do not have direct leads from the outside to the boiler, but I have never heard of that?

I tested the pellets and I fall on 7,5% humidity ..

It's not mandatory, but it's recommended. In the opposite case, it is necessary that between your entry of air from the outside (in another room therefore) and your local boiler room, there is no obstacle to the good air circulation.
- how does it come to you (between the air intake to the outside and your local boiler room)?
- and especially is it a new phenomenon (your boiler was installed for several years and was working properly or you just installed it)?

My boiler is in my garage. There is nothing special about the entrance to the area, my installer never told me.
It is 2 years that the boiler is installed and I have since the beginning of the worries of the kind, but it is especially at the arrival of the cold weather that I have problems.
