Hello

When the nuclear power stations reach the end of their life, you shouldn't believe that you stop the reactor, that you put a fence with a padlock and that everything is set ...
To shut down and shut down a nuclear power plant, this spans decades for a cost almost as high as when it was operational, and no one talks about it, nor does it count it, it's a bit like a debt. pushes back on the other generation.
we have an overview with the closing of the Gentilly power plant (the only nuclear power plant in Quebec.)

The dismantling of the plant will be safe, also assures Mr. Vandal. The “dormant” period planned until 2060 could be reduced if the federal company responsible for the disposal of nuclear waste manages to find places to bury the radioactive fuel. We are however far from having even determined these places, warns Mr. Vandal.

well yes, the poor: they have more work in Chernobyl.
If we had the means, we would pay Tepco employees, they manage the risks well.

1) First, the source from which I drew the article, which clearly stated that 5% then 5% is 10,25%: it's Liberation! Including at least one journalist is not that bad!

2) On the dismantling of power stations, we have, in France, the small power station of Brennilis in Bretage, which has been shutdown since .... 1985 and still not dismantled!

Not to mention that with that, we are just "sorting" and the question of "ultimate" storage is still not resolved.

In Germany, a law was passed to decide that we were going to do studies to be able to decide where we will store and that it will have to be done before 2020 (have the results of the studies to decide) !!!!

So yes, I maintain that the price of electricity will keep going up. And that if it doesn't go up, it's even more worrying! It is that we will end up having our "Tchernoshima" !!!

+1; Still, it should not be the power stations that ring the end of the population's life before ringing theirs. :frown: : Evil:

Towards a new increase in EDF's regulated prices?

An increase in its regulated tariffs of 2,5% per year for individuals, each year, until 2019. This is the assumption that the management of EDF submitted Thursday to the elected members of the CCE. This corresponds to the amount of the last increase authorized by the government, which remains a decision maker in the matter, even though EDF wished to be able to further increase its regulated tariffs, a position shared by the Energy Regulatory Commission.

If the public electrician wants to raise its prices, it is because its prospects are not very bright: the latter expects to lose 19% of market share by 2019 with its professional customers, companies or craftsmen and 9% with individuals, competition requires. This decrease is significant and inevitable, concludes the document.
