A priori, there is the solution to change the injection timing, not particles but many NOX.
And NOX there is this:

This is a complicated solution, dear ... that appeals to automakers ..... they will be able to justify a greater sale price. After this is the only solution?, Best suited etc .... it is to see. : Mrgreen:

Hello

We need to know why the old, who shoveled the chabon in boilers of locomitves took time to water copiously?
Apparently it was burning better, more heat? other say it a little threadbare and the dust makes it less black facial locomotive driver.
There was certainly a good reason to shower coal
He had no computer, but he knew things that were lost over the years (also recalls that have traveled with a locomotive steam coal when it passed in a tunnelled)

coal fire on a grill is pretty special

coal absorbs little water, little is watered without the same problem as wood

what would be the advantage of wet coal? eg less risk breaking fine particle between the grate bar ... or less risk at every pelete fine dust flies directly without burning in the fireplace

Another possible reason: increase the duration of life of the grate bar
