Reforestation of arid deserts

by agriculturegaia » 08/01/09, 16:17

It is not laying tubes in the desert that is the goal of Gaia and grow plants that would freeze at night and really hot during the day, based on biological control from predatory insect such as mantis, we must not believe that Gaia wants to happen and want to change overnight an ecosystem set up .. It would be childish : Cheesy:

So I propose a summary:

Some shamans sing and dance to bring down the rain. All is only a question of belief. I respect these beliefs. However, I prefer to believe in this:

Abstract: The self-regulation of an ecological system allows it to operate in a closed cycle with limited injection of external energy. The simultaneous self-regulation of several ecological systems allows by symbiosis, the self-regulated functioning of all the ecological systems without injection of external energy: It is the ecological "perpetual movement" of which the reference is the Earth system. The Earth system receives solar energy. The biosphere is subjected to forces: gravity and erosion. Gravity and erosion on the one hand put pressure on ecological systems for cooperation and on the other hand, with human centripetal control, can become sufficient external energy to maintain and maintain (ignition) around a point of balance self-regulation of all ecosystems involved "didactically and dialectically" in the same space-time (ecological niches). The role of Man in Gaia agriculture / fish farming is a centripetal control over the various ecosystems involved in order to minimize the amplitude of fluctuations in this point of equilibrium. The decrease in the amplitude of the fluctuations of the equilibrium point of the various ecosystems in relation to them causes an energy surplus in the form of food. In the case of a major dysfunction of the self-regulation of all the ecosystems of Gaia agriculture and fish farming, for example due to extreme biotic or abiotic factors (or in the case of an epizootic), the centripetal command must turn into a centrifugal drive.

Indeed, the Gaia evapotranspiration will reduce the climatic marking between dry season and rainy season. This decrease in the amplitude of the fluctuations between the extreme 2 has the direct consequence of a higher energetic release of the solar energy ratio / reduction of the ecological drowsiness leading to a significant increase (exponential function) of the vegetal biodiversity and by the food chain an increase of animal biodiversity, which in turn will increase by retrospection the colonizing power of the plant world through external transport (transport of pollen on the hair and feathers) and internal (the droppings allow the transport of seeds but also provides the germination fertilizer) seeds and pollens by animals.

For example, in the Namib Desert, with a single solar pump, we could dump seawater on a tarpaulin or any surface that receives seawater to evaporate the natural evaporation of the sea, which in turn will increase rainfall. Of course on very large areas .. Like 100.000 hectares. The only difficulty for this company is to find an accessible material (quality and cheap) to receive seawater. There would be production of salt and rare algae simultaneously with the hygrometric increase. The only energy used is the sun!

Dry deserts have their own biodiversity that must be preserved (..) Eradicate all arid deserts is incorrect, scientifically and philosophically. But this kind of metaphysical questioning, we will consider it seriously when this equation is balanced: Advanced deserts = Deserted retreat. In the meantime, what is important is to stop the advance of all arid deserts immediately by installing, in the savannah / desert areas, Gaia machines on a very large area like 100.000 hectares.

Africa has 3 landscapes: deserts, savannas and virgin forest. In a few years a virgin forest is transformed into savannah, the savannahs in Deserts .. The stake is therefore the bordering savannah / deserts part. It is therefore in this bordering part that we have to install the Gaia machines, which, by evapotranspiration of 100.000 hectares will promote a slight hygrometric increase that will push Mother Nature to make the savannah not a desert but a forest ..

It's interesting

but should we irrigate?

Too bad, because some of his posts are interesting.
