The car of the future

Transport and new transport: energy, pollution, engine innovations, concept car, hybrid vehicles, prototypes, pollution control, emission standards, tax. not individual transport modes: transport, organization, carsharing or carpooling. Transport without or with less oil.

This is the recurring concern with these manufacturers: they start with a good idea by estimating an attractive sale price (remember the Mia between 5 and 8000 € from Ségolène).
Then as the developments go, forgotten details, security standards, infrastructure costs, ... push up the bill to the point where there are no more potential customers and the project is abandoned :(

Yeah ... and the various and varied blockages without any conspiracy: there are people who want to keep their material privileges rather than to get "things" forward ...

Why Renault sells the Twizy WITHOUT DOORS? Seriously, Renault would have liked to commit the (good) concept of its Twizy, it wouldn't have done better !!

Christophe wrote:Otherwise we can read the interesting testimony about the Lumeneo Smera that could or should have been produced in Alsace: http://www.lalsace.fr/actualite/2015/07 ... s-son-elan

The passage to remember is certainly this one:

The Selestadian entrepreneur is fatalistic: "We would like to protect the major manufacturers that we would not have taken otherwise ..." François Roudier, spokesman for the committee of French automakers, said he was "surprised" by the attacks Jean-Michel Ritter: "The Renault ZOE is a big vehicle, it's not the same market, not the same registration. And even, industrially, it is not the same type of production. However, Jean-Michel is adamant: "We do not want the electric light vehicle to develop. "

Why without doors?

With doors you absolutely need a defrosting system, otherwise you cannot drive half the year. And heating / defrosting will considerably reduce the range of a more expensive, heavier, larger vehicle ...

The advantage of the hybrid car is that the heating comes mainly from the heat engine. You can also stop or start the engine by simply playing on the interior temperature. By putting the temperature at the minimum the thermal engine stops but, in this case, it is necessary to roll the windows open because of the fog : Lol: .

Honestly, do you believe your own explanation there?

Without door it means that we are subjected to bad weather (and therefore frost included) more than with doors!

A little elbow grease and good ventilation, without defrosting, can be very suitable ... but you need doors!

The ideal would be a twizzy (or a smera or any other small electric car) with a removable range generator 3-5kW electric / 10-15kW thermal for winter or summer when you need to go a little further!

why a vehicle without heating should be without a door?

why should we get wet in the rain because there is no heating?

these car without door are con like suitcase without handle

the absence of a door degrades aerodynamics as much as comfort, it's absurd

of course when the weather is humid, it is necessary to ventilate to avoid condensation ... but it is enough to ventilate by a few well-placed openings, not to let rain in through the 2 sides without door

against the fog on the windshield the Belgians have a very good solution: they put wipers inside ... some bad tongues say that it is because they make postilions by making an engine noise while driving ... but it's bad language! the energy consumption of a wiper is lower than a heating

On an urban electric cart, you would even need air conditioning (with heating) to demister and protect yourself from pollution from heat engines by recycling the air in the passenger compartment.

In 2 wheels, one is also subjected to bad weather. Renault says Twizy is designed for the summer.

TWIZY has evolved. There is heating and optional or serial doors depending on the version, it was inevitable. See with the configurator:

https://www.renault.fr/vehicules/vehicu ... twizy.html

Equipment manufacturers also offer door and window kits.

There are blogs on this subject, ( http://lavietwizy.blogspot.fr/ and others) and there are still the same heating / ventilation / demisting problems in closed vehicles. It is very variable according to the regions.

There it is almost a hybrid Twizy, Renault Kangoo Elect'road style. Renault must work on it.

Remains the rental of the battery, about as expensive as that of the ZOE (> 0,10 € per km) : Shock:

Absolutely. Recycling prevents the lungs from serving as micro-particle filters :) . And with recycling, you need air conditioning to defog.
