Transport and new transport: energy, pollution, engine innovations, concept car, hybrid vehicles, prototypes, pollution control, emission standards, tax. not individual transport modes: transport, organization, carsharing or carpooling. Transport without or with less oil.

Actually ... he died in 2016 75 years, I did not know this ... Yes peace to his soul ... I had met him in real 2002 in his factory in the south of France for a small interview thanks to an acquaintance of the time.

That's right, and to my knowledge nothing of what he "invented" during his long career has worked (like his rotary valve engine for F1 in the 80s).

Peace to his soul, and too bad for the industrialists and investors who were flustered by this talker.

That said, the height of the swagger is still Rarénergia;)

From 1896, the Pittsburgh HK Porter Company introduced the compressed air locomotives invented by Charles B. Hodges9. The double and triple expansion engine (high and low pressure cylinders) was supplemented by an atmospheric heat exchanger. Compressed air cooled by the first expansion was warmed by ambient air, making the superheated water device unnecessary and greatly improving overall efficiency. Thousands of Porter locomotives equipped the coal mines in the eastern United States until the 1930 years. Other manufacturers around the world have produced similar machines for mines and factories in industries that do not tolerate smoke or dust. The range increased with the possibility of building very high pressure air tanks (up to 250 bars). These machines served until the 1950 years, before being overtaken by the development of low-emission gas engines and improved electric accumulators.

The mistake was to want to make it a vehicle to compete with the electric or the thermal for individual use.
