Superconductor

Innovations, ideas or patents for sustainable development. Decrease in energy consumption, reduction of pollution, improvement of yields or processes ... Myths or reality about inventions of the past or the future: the inventions of Tesla, Newman, Perendev, Galey, Bearden, cold fusion ...

Well known since 1987 with the miraculous discovery of high temperature superconductors (copper and rare earths especially) with liquid nitrogen, but which expects real industrial uses given the complexity of the materials !!
The currents induced by a magnet in the superconductor last forever (zero resistance) and repel it in levitation (within certain limits).
Thoroughly potash:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superconductivity

It remains a mystery about quantum mechanisms, in particular predicting superconducting materials or not and their critical temperature, is as difficult as predicting earthquakes !!!

To put in observed but not explained the highest T of superconductivity !!

Yet we understand a lot of superconductivity, superfluidity of electrons in pairs which flow without quantum dissipation !!
Already at T of liquid nitrogen 77 ° K, and over 150 ° K, it is a miracle and the dream is ordinary T, but it is impossible to know if it will be possible one day !!!

They are easy to make, mix the oxides of Ytrium, Barium and Copper in good proportions and heat to 800 to 900 ° C and cool slowly !!
And then with liquid nitrogen it levitates above a magnet !!

This is not the subject. The show (which dates from 2004 if I heard correctly) deals with the possibility of storing an enormous amount of energy in low-volume windings of carbon nanotubes kept superconductive at -50 ° thanks to Peltier junctions.

superconductors at only -50 ° C do not yet exist.

This is a statement that closes this debate.
Well no, finally

A world record in superconductors.

In March 2009, an announcement highlighted the creation of the first superconductor with a critical temperature of 242 K (approximately -31 ° c), which is a giant step for science. With a temperature of only -31 ° C,

Unconfirmed, without reference to the original article (horrifying) and there have been many statements and articles by scientists before taking their dreams for reality, articles never confirmed, and which often by errors of careless measurements, confuse a insulating state with a superconductive state !!

So wrong since we haven't talked about it since !!!!

for this type Tl Ba Cu of supra HT with CuO, the max is about 150K, not 240 ° K !!!

Read the last post that dreams like in the coffee grounds with measurements in the noise of the fluctuations, very weak which can be due to everything and anything, like passages of a tiny proportion of conductor to insulator or magnetic change without report !!!

No phase isolation with indisputable and massive superconducting effect !!!
http://www.superconductors.org/20C.htm

They believe their explanation by superconductivity without any proof that it is not a nice measurement error !!!!

This dream of superconductivity imperceptible for years since 1995 (date of the actual article), without any clear and clear isolation of the phase since, with a significant effect real and usable, proves that this superconductivity does not exist and cannot be used !!
No scientific publications verified, nothing reproduced by other laboratories !!!
Joe Eck doesn't even try to publish on journals instead of just applying for patent

Exactly like those inventing and patenting imaginary perpetual movements !!!!
http://www.foresight.org/nanodot/?p=3404
http://nextbigfuture.com/2011/06/joe-ec ... ities.html

Finally, what is recognized, reproducible, reproduced in many laboratories and therefore proven is indicated in:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-tempe ... nductivity
With the minimum to know on this subject !!
Max 150K!!
