It just happened to me. In your opinion easy to replicate?

Innovations, ideas or patents for sustainable development. Decrease in energy consumption, reduction of pollution, improvement of yields or processes ... Myths or reality about inventions of the past or the future: the inventions of Tesla, Newman, Perendev, Galey, Bearden, cold fusion ...

Hello everybody
I don't really believe in this machine because as underlined Capt gravity is subdominant with respect to magnetism.
The ball is subjected to a force which is directed towards the magnet and therefore not towards the earth.
This amounts to pushing inside the rim with the finger towards the magnet so no movement.
On the other hand that one is more credible with reservations as well.
Simply because the system is not really stable.
The rotor oscillates everywhere and it is possible that it manages to find a kind of uncontrolled resonance which, thanks to the inertia of the whole, manages to buckle.
But as soon as we want to draw energy from such a system, it will come back to damping the resonance and therefore stopping the rotation, if at all it is real.

Hi Quartz,

it had been a while! :D

Bin Woui.
Rotten 2011 I want to say, glad to have moved on.
My projects are progressing slowly but surely.
I present this to you before the summer I hope.

Amusing your reactions varied, but not very scientifically consistent, while we use the same principle as for an electric clock, with small oscillations of maintenance and an external source of energy.

This movement :
http://www.galleri-finsrud.no/index.php ... &Itemid=41
is also of this type resonances well adjusted to make the ball turn and an external source of energy, which very weak, can be the small variations in temperature of the room, weak but sufficient to give energy in heat engine by expansion contraction of gas or metal rods, as for the Atmos clock, which is a thermal perpetual movement with just 1 ° C between day and night, which all can be bought from a watchmaker !!

I am not mathematical enough to embark on a theoretical analysis.
I noticed (you probably too) studying the video

- The ball is made of steel (it is not a magnetic ball)
- That the two crowns are metallic (not plastic) maybe aluminum maybe copper (I doubt it because of the eddy currents but hey ...) and certainly not steel.
- The two discs, if they are metallic, the ball closes the circuit formed by this "open coil" represented by the discs.

- I suppose of course like ... the bottom which rests! (it reminds me of a pub)!

The discs are not made of steel, probably aluminum, because the magnet would be attracted against these discs and impossible to hold with the hand, which already has difficulty in holding the magnet by resisting the attraction of the magnet by the ball, which makes the hand tremble, as we all tremble more or less when holding an object in the air.
This tremor provides energy without being aware of it.
Steel is magnetic (attracted by a magnet), but retains very little magnetization when leaving the magnetic field (mild steel)

Carole did not read what I wrote:
just before the discs start, we see the ball attracted by the magnet oscillate almost spontaneously, proof that it undergoes such an oscillating force, either with the hand which holds the magnet which trembles to resist the force of attraction on the magnet due to the ball, or because the whole experiment is placed in an oscillating magnetic field coming from a generator and coil below the table.

All of the experiences on this site are rigged, just to get some attention and amuse us by increasing their site's audience.

What is clear is that few people analyze this type of demo as a physicist and have great difficulty understanding it.

A beautiful perpetual movement, with a beautiful gilt-edged mechanism, which has been running for more than 70 years without ever touching it:

But yes, your clock is beautiful :D well thought out anyway, sure it's better than with batteries

But unrelated to the video
How much does the thing cost?

You should make a subject dedicated to this type of product
