Hello,
I would like to finalize a machine to produce electricity from little.
For now I have a bike wheel that oscillates about 30 ° with a torque of about 100 N / m. Unfortunately the period of the oscillation is of the order of the second.
So I appeal to the people for the transformation into electricity ..
All ideas will be welcome !!
Has your feathers

Hello,
a little crobard or a photo to grab your needs?

Hi Obelix, Captain hello!
At the nose, I would place the axis of a copper coil in the radial axis of the wheel.
Then a permanent magnet on the wheel.
The oscillation of the wheel varies the flux sent by the magnet through the coil.
This then generates a voltage. Which can be rectified by a Graetz bridge, eventually.
However, as soon as you connect the son of the coil, an intensity will be born, and brake the wheel. So I hope that a mechanical source constantly maintains this rocking motion.
The system can be "multiplied" in several radial directions, with one or more magnets.
Good luck !

Hi remu
I would rather use a tree to spin a wheel to create a flywheel, much like the old steam locomotives
on this principle, I have not found anything else
and what makes your wheel swing?

Hello Obelix
If it's from not much , why not try to train a small stepper motor, it does not give much electricity but it works with low speeds and the low angle of oscillation is not an obstacle.

Hello and thank you for your answers!
To tell you a little more:
A crobard of the whole system:
The most important thing to do is to recover the energy produced.
This is for the moment a model of study and it is perfectible, but it's fun and original.
Finally this is not my invention and you can find all explanations on:

Good reading

Hello Captain,
If you have better, announce. I'm not greedy, I just need permanent 100 W that do not come back too expensive.
For free time, it is the retreat so I can have some (if my sweet and tender does it well ....)
Obelix

100W? 1m² of voltaic photo and / or a small wind turbine
you can also hook up at your neighbor's place
For the time available, I'm a taker, you're handyman?
