Hello,
I introduce myself, papy-stone, I am the captain of the Seneffe marina in Belgium, I have a long 13,50mtrs board, last winter I installed a DAF engine DNTD620 6 cyl diesel direct injection and turbocharged , 6,24 ltrs for 212cv, maximum speed under load 2600 rpm it sails at a constant speed of 10km / h and turns between 1500 and 1800tr / min it consumes me about 7 to 8ltr / h which would make 70 to 80ltr / 100km and at the price of GB my wallet feels a blow, I'm the forum for several days and would be interested in pantonisé my engine, I am a small handyman but do not c to start with a SPAD or a bubbler? how to build one or more correct reactor which dimension ect.
Is anyone among you he would have the patience and kindness to help me achieve my project? If the system is efficient it might interest more member of our club.
Waiting to hear from you
Thank you
Regards
Pierre

Re: Pantonisé the engine of my boat
hello grandpa stone
I think you put a bigger engine in relation to your needs:
if you consume only 7 8 in liters / hour, here is the 1 / 5 full power consumption.
such an engine only delivers barely 30 8 horses consuming L / h
Do it turn 1700 r / min without causing the propeller of the boat and control its consumption once an hour, you will be surprised (if you do, keep us updated)
Do you need such power to "launch" your houseboat when starting
Pantoniser such an engine to run at reduced load is not easy to heat through the reactor
the pleasure of reading you,
bolt

pantonisé the engine of my boat
Bolt Hello and thank you for your answer, I put a bigger engine because on one hand it my costs just € 500 it + - 150.000km and secondly it is in water at + - 1m weighs more 24tonnes and to the front is like the barge when more rounded tip as the star, I actually brought him a bulbous bow to try to open the wave, I do not like c have to put pictures ( you want me to explain?) or I'll would have shown.

pantonisé the engine of my boat
Bolt, that the beast I would pantonisé, I would try to take the temperature at the hot engine exhaust manifold outlet and 1700 / 1800tr / min but not how to c, c you explain?

hello grandpa stone
nice boat you got there
tell me, usually it is powered with anything like power, this boat class
how much consume your colleges with the same kind of boat, motor home
these questions interressent me a lot because a motor 212 ch already consumes almost 5 7 to L / h in idling at 1700 r / min
which makes me say that your engine really does not have to force to advance to 10 km / h (in spite of the water blade to open), it is very likely that it passes only 25 ch on the tree of your propeller, when you are launched at your cruising speed of 10 km / h
at this stage the T ° exhaust outlet should be between 180 and 250 ° C only, so difficult to initiate a reactor pantone

Pantonisé the engine of my boat
Bolt thank you, yes it is beautiful, 13,50mt long 3,50mtr largemouth, sun deck, lounge, dining room ,, kitchen 2 shower rooms, electric toilet comfort and what date 1920, my wife and I the have everything laid out.
Before winter, there have in a Daf DF620 of 138cv he consumed more oil than Go, I had the opportunity to have it for € 500, he comes from a dumpster junk which had a total loss, the DF consumed me 9 ltr / ha competition 8km / h with a propeller of 22 / 16,5 to 1800tr / min constant.
The DNTD620 so the new turn has 18000tr / min also 8km / h with small propeller therefore bc reserve behind, I put him propeller 24 / 20 and he turns a 1400 see 1500tr / min for 8km and + - 1600 1800tr / min for 10km / h reserve in case I am doubling a barge for example, here I have wanted the PRQ pantonisé he inverter a reduction 2.1 / 1 so I think the engine 2tour.1 made a turn and helix
thank you bolt
