Creation of a multi fuel PANTONE on gasoline car

by manoria68 » 20/10/08, 13:58

The purpose of my assembly is to feed a Pantone reactor with an electronic injection and to be able to use different fuels.

The ideal would be to cut the injection of the car and use that Pantone in multi fuel

Here is my reactor

12 Tube / 14 10mm Heart Shaft and Smaller 3 / 8 Brass Elbows

The tube that runs around is my boiler.
It may not be used

For the signal recovery, it is copied identically to that of the original injection. (used function of the card)

Image

I also have the possibility to send a PWM signal, so to send a sygnal in injectors cyclic variable variable (not used) in french: open injectors 0 100% but this function is not used.

The signal thus feeds a secondary injection ramp placed in the passenger compartment.

Image

This feeds the reactor.

It is powered by a tank mounted separately from the car

Image

of course, we can go from one energy to another by cutting the fuel pump of the car or pantone

Here is the reactor with some descriptions:

And the connection to the motor:

These tests only work when the car is stopped and idling

After some advice, I changed in this:

I created a plastic adaptation between the butterfly and the collector

It allows to get closer to the venturi cone of the butterfly and not to redo the idle EV

The adaptation piece:

All mounted

We can see the fabric filter between the hose and the copper tube
I did not put the injector back to enrich Ethanol for the moment.

Inside view:

So with editing, his well and truly aspires to all diets. Just a little less when the butterfly is fully open.

Tests with car injection deactivated and Pantone activated:

At test level, the car runs on multi fuel up to 30 Km / H (after preheating) beyond, I must accelerate more and the engine no longer takes. I think the depression is no longer sufficient in the reactor, I do not know.

Tests with injection car origin activated and pantone activated:

Leaving plugged 2 injectors the Pantone injection, I increase the richness of the mixture. Sa hears ...

After a few minutes, the calculator recalculates the richness of the mixture in a poorer way and the motor returns correctly.

It means that it runs at E85 at 50%, and 50% at rapeseed oil and water for the moment.

It is necessary to see now at the level of the consomation that its gives and also with the different mixtures

October 21 2008 test

Test performed with activated car injection
Pantone activated and 1 injector on 4's plugged

Either conditions of doping

The Pantone tank contains 40% oil and 40% water, 10% rapeseed, SP95 ect ...)

On 108Km, I consumed 1L from the Pantone tank mix and at the consumption level, a decrease of 23%
Taking into account the price of half a liter of oil consumed, it reduces the cost of the journey to 17% less

Tests performed on the same highway

Question for NLC,

Is it possible with your editing to deplete the mix?

http://chaenel.free.fr/cmsimple/?Electr ... thanol_E85

It would be interesting for my editing

It would control the original injection ramp from -50% to + 20%
To be able to test without the calculator reducing the calculation of the mixture

Example: start with ethanol at + 20%
once the reactor is hot, deplete 50% the mixture injected by the original injection of the engine and connect 2 injectors of my Pantone injection rail

That's how my case works (and the others for that matter):

Image

So to impoverish is theoretically not possible, since we do not know in advance what will be the width of the injector pulse, so we can not know when to cut the injector.

What could be done to overcome the problem is to measure the injector pulses, but to impoverish the impulse on the next impulse.

It's easy to do but I do not know if it would work properly, since the actions on the injector pulse width would arrive at the injector with 1 cycle 4 delay time, so 2 engine revs (on a multipoint injection sequential)

I imagine that on a monopoint injection it would not be too serious since a pulse dedicated to a cyclinder would simply be shifted to the next cyclner only. On a sequential multipoint shot I do not know what it could give.

Quite ok about what you just said, but do you have the opportunity to try on your editing?

Otherwise, I can also play on the pressure of the injection rail
it seems to me less uncertain

But if I install this kit on my car, it would simplify me anyway mechanics ...

Yes ! But how is the pressure in the original injection boom regulated? The pump pushes like a barbarian and at the end of the ramp there is a calibrated valve that opens at the desired pressure and lets the fuel back into the tank?

A solution to change the pressure, would be a pressure sensor at the ramp and a small electronics that would change the voltage of the gas pump by PWM.

In this case the valve would no longer be its role, there would be no fuel flow. Can be bad for the blow pump?
