hi pit

great your video, if you want I give you my venturia photo (they can be in the photo on the site) and it will suck more.

you need a very sharp inlet cone and a very open outlet cone (approx. 35 ° when entering and 7 ° when leaving). the pantone tube at the very beginning of the exit with a 45 ° angle well in the middle.

you got my email !!!!!

Thank you Zac for your advice.
In fact I tried to make a larger angle with another bottle, but PVC does not like.
He splits because it pulls too much on his teeth.
It would be necessary to machine an aluminum or plastic part for it to be perfect.
bham I have no merit it is an idea of Rezut
rezut wrote:last week I was on leave and I took the opportunity to test my depression and there I realized that I had to go up to more than 2000 turns to have a ridiculous depression of 50mm
so I made a venturi in 10 mm and after installing I am sure that I could have 4000 turns to fill the bubbler just with the vacuum
now no problem I consume water (mini 1l to 100 if not more) may be too much
I have already done 500 km and the next full I come back to announce the conso (I do not expect miracles but I still hope a little better (not true pitmix))

ps: for the 10mm venturi
a pvc tube of 40
one liter of wine (empty) : Cheesy:
a bottle of sweet wine (also empty and you take the one with a very long neck)
a heat gun
you heat the tube well on one side and you fit the neck of the first bottle by forcing well (you can help by greasing the neck so that it slides better)
you wait for its to cool on the neck then you go to the other end
all you have to do is adjust the size of the AM pipe and turn and play

Bonjour à tous

A smell of digging up ... Gillier Pantomistes to the rescue.
I would like to try a solution with venturi in the intake duct much like Pitmix.

But what size (diameter at the neck) give it not knowing how many mm of water column I need etc ... : Mrgreen:

I would need an example that works for an engine with a displacement approaching mine (1. 9 liter diesel) as a starting point.

please

Hi Flytox
Well on my Golf 1,9D I took a PVC tube diam 40.
I flared it on each side by heating it with a heat gun and the two connes formed with two different bottle necks.
You have to have the maximum water column, the ideal is to have within 70cm at maximum speed. Me I arrive well at 50cm is already not bad.
Try it like this and if it is not enough try with PVC 32.
For info on my Golf the air box already has an integrated venturi.
For my water doping venturi to be effective without dropping the performance of the car, it had to be the same size.
Look in your air box if there is not already an original venturi like that you will know what inner diameter should make your venturi

Hello Pitmix

Well the crobar!
The tube which brings the vapor in the venturi, it makes how much in diameter inter / exter?
Must it be insulating or conducting electricity?

I did a test with an intermediate piece between the AVEC and a restriction to see the difference in behavior of the mill. The sheet metal is placed against the inlet of the intake manifold.

Image

At moderate speeds, the only thing that seems to have changed is the noise which is different and "louder". Instinctively trusting the noise, enough for me to be wrong and roll in 4th instead of 5th .....: Mrgreen:

For sound and perf this did nothing significant in one way or the other.

Pure to return to your venturi, it has a diameter comparable to my restriction. This should not strangle the beast ... : Mrgreen:

Hi fly
Personally I don't care if it's conductive or not.
I put a piece of copper tube of 20cm and diam14mm at the outlet of the reactor, then I fitted 20cm of coolant hose held with metal collars up to the intake cuff.
To finish a small piece of copper in 14mm cut at 45 ° at the end. The last end is about 10cm but it only exceeds 3 or 4 cm from the coolant hose. Just story that it is well centered in the venturi.
Look on page 1 there is a little video where we can see how it is made.

Hello Pit

Thank you for all the info. It is indeed your remastered film.
Apparently your venturi is isolated from the mass of the car and the engine, I'm going to go on that.

For the little piece of copper that brings steam into the venturi,
to reduce its impact in the flow (its front surface), there is interest in profiling it like this. That is to say as in view n ° 2 by slightly flattening the pipe. (It seems to me that a diameter 14 for this pipe in a diameter of about 40 mm for the venturi made a little big. : Mrgreen:
