Things not understood on the pantane engine for an 4L

by 4lempdaise » 09/03/09, 23:58

Hello everyone,
This is my first post on this forum so I will try to be clear. Here I have just participated in the 4L trophy 2009 and I would like to improve my 4L with a pantane engine. I have downloaded a kind of tutorial on your forum (Operation of the pantone system) But there is something that I did not understand. If I take the diagram of the second page see below:
Image
some things elude me I need light:
1) Is there a normal supply of air for starting? what is the scooter fuel used for?
2) does the treated and untreated gases mix at the level of the reactor or is the orange circuit only used to heat the purple circuit?
3) if I resume the direction of circulation the engine produces exhaust gases. These gases first come out normally but then they are braked and go in the direction of the bubbler and there I have not quite understood why put a cooling circuit according to the diameter of each spiral? what to put as distilled or mineral water? how much should it be filled? the expansion tank or should you put it? I do not understand this story of reactor with the muffler mixes it because we see in the photos that there are 2 connections,

thank you for your explanations

Re: Pantone water doping engine plans for 4L

Hello,

Could you publish the pantone engine plans again? Installed on the trestles of the 4l Trophy

Indeed I am interested in preparing my R4 from 1981, and I would like to carry out a clean installation. So seeing the work you have done will be of the greatest help!

Thank you very much

Hello Remi, welcome.

There are photos (links in the answers above) .... but I haven't seen any precise plans ... You know, each Pantonist does a little in his own personal style, depending on his recovery, tools, knowledge etc ... If you want to have more precise indications of the "good orientations" in the design, read the many posts on the subject to get the substantive outlines. : Mrgreen:
If you have specific questions, we will be happy to try to help you and answer you.
