Long term test (life) of a bulb LED Sirius

by Christophe » 22/11/06, 14:45

To test the actual reliability of the LED bulbs, we launched a real test long life on a Sirius bulb

Image

This test has been underway since Sunday 22 October 18h.
It is carried out on an outdoor lantern
The bulb is therefore subject to changes in temperature and humidity, in short, not very ideal conditions for https://www.econologie.com/shop/eclaira ... ique-c-100 electronics ...

It will remain on 24h / 24 for (at least) the 6 months of winter (so rough Ardennes) a period of roughly 4000h ...

Periodic "results" will be reported periodically in this thread.

EDIT: the test ended in APRIL 2016, almost 9 and a half years (80 hours) after the launch of the test.
See details and disassembly of the bulb here: econological-laboratory / testing-long-term-of-life-of-a-bulb-a-sirius-led-t2657-20.html # p301399

Electronics do not like start / stop repetitive.

would it be possible to include in this random test based updates of this LED lamp :?:

there are so-called "flashing" timing relays, there are some that you can even adjust the "on" time and the "off" time from 0,01 seconds to 100 hours

2 to see who would last longer, the lamp or relay : Mrgreen:

Yes, the tempo relays are a good solution but for the moment I will use a digital programmer (the lab is not yet "assembled").
