Re: Smoke Emissions Okofen Boiler
It is probably the "cover" which closes the combustion chamber. In much smaller than what we have on our antique Pellematics. But it is of the same nature: a metal piece, lined on the combustion chamber side by these refractory synthetic stones whose name escapes me.

Re: Smoke Emissions Okofen Boiler
seen the black mouth full of bistre of this piece, your combustion must be disastrous.
you have to find out why quickly, otherwise you will damage your boiler.

Re: Smoke Emissions Okofen Boiler
Yes there is certainly a problem of combustion but I do not see where ..
The boiler turns it can turn for hours without worries, but at times I have smoke that escapes from below the chimney duct and suddenly obliged to stop it.
The pellets looks good and burns well, the duct is clear, the extracion fan rotates well ..

??? then !
And that even in the absence of wind ????
Because one of the potential problems is the inversion of draft when a chimney does not come out properly on the roof and because of turbulence, there is an overpressure at the exit of the chimney .... This can not occur in calm weather. Only in case of wind, in a combination where the chimney outlet does not exceed sufficiently the ridge of the roof ...

No there is no wind the sky is clear, the conduit exceeded enough of the roof, what I do not understand is that it turned pdt more than a year and why this problem now ..

Re: Smoke Emissions Okofen Boiler
Ah, that's the name of a breakdown! Just before, it worked. And then all of a sudden, it does not work anymore.
But in effect, this removes possible causes, a "structural" cause, such as a badly installed duct.
How old is this boiler ??? Maintenance by a professional ???
Because the fan motors, in any case on the Pellematic, are not "brushless"; one of the usual "failures" is that these "coals" are worn out. The professional maintenance program provides for automatic replacement every 3 years, I believe ... Or every so many hours ... I do not remember, during the annual maintenance.
One of your fan could "drop" in speed, and suddenly, the fire suffocates ...

Re: Smoke Emissions Okofen Boiler
In addition the pellets do not burn completely and I have the impression that there are too many that arrive and therefore no time to burn well ..
