Re: Smoke Emissions Okofen Boiler
Is the tube coming out well? It is not clear on the second photo if it is a coring in the wall or a shadow?

Re: Smoke Emissions Okofen Boiler
I don't have the impression ...
But if the garage is not too tight (doors), it is not certain that this is the cause of the problem!
[The smart is intended to be mounted in BBC houses, therefore with a supply of combustion air by duct from the outside; there, it seems to be done halfway; NB mine could also be connected in this way, but it is not, since also in the basement, with air intakes - fruit cellar, garage doors not waterproof; it has been working for 10 years with problems - in addition to the clogging of the condenser "turbulators" the year it was not cleaned].
It seems to have a catch for a pressure switch on the last bend of the PVC pipe before entering the machine; in the event of "lack of air" - too great a vacuum, it would fault with a specific error message.

I don't have the impression either.
If this is the case (not connected to the outside) the orifice seems to me very close to the wall, causing a pressure drop on suction.
Yes, there seems to be a pressure switch, but it can start to "mess around" at the combustion level before it trips if the pressure switch is set to a "safety" threshold.

Re: Smoke Emissions Okofen Boiler
In any case, if it was me, I would make a hole in the wall in front of the suction (if the wall faces well towards the outside!), A piece of PVC pipe sealed inside, no need for it to be connect pile-pile to the existing suction, it would be much "cleaner", even if this is not necessarily the cause of the problem.

Re: Smoke Emissions Okofen Boiler
It is not connected to outside, the tube gives on a wall (about 15cm), and on the other side is the crawl space.
I tried by removing the killer directly at the entrance of the boiler but it doesn't change anything.
There are air outlets in my garage it is not completely waterproof and even with the door open it does not work.
How did you solve the problem of clogging of the "turbulators" of the condenser?
It does have a pressure switch on PVC pipe.

15cm, is the distance between the suction section of the tube and the wall?

Hello,
The pressure switch measures the pressure difference between 2 points:
1. the air intake hose
2. and what?

On the antique Pellematic of the PESK series, with condenser added on the back, it is easily accessible and can be dismantled from the top. We then have access to the stainless steel pipes (which pass through the cold return water) and their turbulators (sorts of twisted stainless steel blades). You remove the turbulators with pliers and you clean the tubes with a kind of very hard nylon brushes (supplied by Okofen). And you go back up.
I do not know how it looks on the SMART, which I have never seen boned.

I guess between the duct and the air in the room. This is supposed to detect an obstruction of the combustion air supply pipe.
At home, on the old PESK, I have two:
- one who takes in the foyer, behind the door; the exhaust fan must maintain a constant vacuum; in the event of an obstacle, this puts the boiler at fault; ditto in case of too great depression (lack of regulation of the draft in some cases), memory.
- a second, before the pipes of my condenser, records a possible overpressure, a sign that they are clogged ... Fault.

Certainly, indeed, between the duct and the air in the room. But if the part even goes very slightly into depression, it delays the triggering all the more, while the air arrives more weakly at the level of combustion.
