My modified burner experience
Hello
After reading the forum, I'm showing you pictures of my modified burner.
In the photo the burner works with 70% used peanut oil + 30% fuel.
The flame is ignited in automatic mode.
Changing from a standard burner to a vegetable oil burner is more difficult than it may seem. However I have a good experience on the functioning of fixed engine with vegetable oil (within the framework of humanitarian aid).
I will continue to modify my installation, to have automatic and safe operation.
Pay attention to the risk of fire and the formation of CO, which is an odorless deadly gas (see forum "Blue flame burner".

Hello Arty,
Burning oil is not easy.
Especially restaurant oil, which is not as clean as diesel.
I'm not saying this to discourage you, but to save you time.
If you are not passionate, and gifted, give up.
You have to know how to tinker, also have a little equipment, have some knowledge of electro-mechanics, some knowledge of "fire", space for oil storage and filtration.
The simplest track, from all I can see, and concerning conventional oil-fired boilers, is mixing 50% diesel with vegetable oil.
This implies very good filtration of the oil, otherwise the nozzle will plug up very quickly.
This mixture makes it possible to consume less diesel, without significant modification of the burner, if not perhaps an air, and pump pressure adjustment ...
If you want to know more, I remind you that you can contact me via skype for more info ... I hate spending hours writing.
PS if you are young, take out a loan to insulate your house, because if you need so much heating ... is that your house is poorly insulated
