Hello
texactement that are in principle the burner MAN mine is conceived, this principle has been the 1920 years on burners for industrial furnaces
That is to say to return to diffusseur neck a small part of the hot gas at the start of combustion.
I also have a smaller tube into a larger burner tube
the length of this tube is trying by mistake, it is preferable that the tube is conical beak Bensen sort out too long if it does not allow the return of hot gas back, entered the rear of the hot gas must be between 50 has 60mm of the ball.
the temperature of this small tube increases with del a quantity of hot gas that is returned to start of combustion
for home heating sytem is not always advantageous to seek to exceed 1100C to a foundry or forge yes but it takes a material that Endur eThis heat ouavoir a nozzle games rempplacement when it's experimental one makes an ordinary steel then once find the right diameter good length cast iron or refractory if aa our disposal Plicast cement used in steelmaking but it is fragile and brittle.
(Which is fun it is to melt glass I thought it became liquid, but it is pasty)

Bonjour à tous

unearthing post to present my version of the oil burner Andre, whom I thank for his shares and all the members who participated to be topic.

Here is the beast with what I heat my house since 85 1 m² month:

Image

So it is a boiler with heat exchanger air / air inlets with 2 2 fresh and hot air outlets.

Image

Image

The burner ball is almost similar to Andre diagram, a cross instead of a T and the ball not held on the vertical but in the horizontal (I find easier settings so!)
The nozzle is 14 cm and stainless steel.

The ball is a cap nut made of brass and brought a diameter of 14 mm hole is 0.5 mm.

Compressed air proviend a refrigerator motor.

Image

Image

Everything is managed by autonomous 100% to electronic box, a card based on a PIC microcontroller programmed 18F2420 MikroPascal.

He manages:
The temperature of the oil.
The presence of the flame through a piezoelectric sensor (vibration) and an infrared sensor (light)
Startup or not depending on the temperature of the house.
The temperature of the hot air outlet (if it exceeds the set value, the burner goes to sleep and ventilos removes heat)

Differ on the LCD menu displays the temperature of the ambient air, oil and hot air.
Then the setpoint temperatures.
Then one last menu that shows me any malfunction to intervene in case of failure.

Image

Regardless of the electronic box, the fan is controlled by a mechanical thermostat.
A second safety by mechanical thermostat cuts off the supply of the compressor of the burner if the hot air exceeds the set value (in case there have electronic failure.)

Conso on the 1 3.5 months of liter / day and 100 watt electric to heat 24 / 24 20 to degrees.
The burner works a rapeseed oil that I produce on my farm. But they are my rest of filtration, the better the filtration is kept for fuel and the rest to the burner. The cake parte and animal nutrition.

still thank you to Andrew for sharing!

Thank you!
But with 200 members experiences pages having experienced the subject its aid.

There are points to be respected for a reliable full auto:

A suitable nozzle no secret be experienced, and not to forget that a boiler ing light pressure little change the behavior of the system.

Then the temperature of the oil, hystérisie of 2 degree maxi 'beyond the richness of the mixture air / oil varies too.

Adequate security, think everything contingencies and anticipated.
I confess that for me is the electronic 90% of the job. With the advantage that I can change a volonter the program via a USB liason.

C is exciting, not get discouraged when designing but what satisfaction when it works autonomously for weeks :D

Hello everyone!

A small return on my boiler to burner ball.
So she works since 3 months non-stop, and a single failure in 1 minute set, the electrodes of ignition were dirty. By changing their position of some mm, it s more foul.
I ve also changed the nozzle in order to increase the quality of combustion and c is won!
So a burner is in full auto has ball from André 1er plan is quite feasible. I am thinking against that of an electronic part to the monitoring and management of the boiler is required. To mine the control by the electronics is the essential element of its operation.
J am very satisfied and do not regret the time spent 100ène to the manufacture and development.

To those who would like more details on burner if it is with pleasure that I share my work.

Thank you to everyone who is advanced on the burner for ball and thank you Andrew!

Hello
I'm also going to change my burner. I had talked to about 160 pages.
the improvements :
While a block on wheels for use in burner for the boiler or smelter.
other improvements, managed by an Arduino controller with a graphic display 240x320 to oversee everything.
the flue gas temperature will also be controlled and the oil flow on the ball constantly readjusted.

Hello,
Here is the continuation
The mechanical part is over.
I took all the devices that I put on a small cart.
I think doing the test next week

Electronic level, I used an Arduino Mega.
I linked above:

Probe Oil Temp
smoke temp probe
graphic display
a PWM module to control the oil flow on the balls

the ds'en else flows, air relays, blower, filling etc ...

I post here the photos of André's burner ball that had been archived in the gallery of the former forum (before its definitive deletion):

They have probably already been posted above, but to be sure not to lose them, here they are!
