Superb, and indeed within the reach of a good handyman but begins do we realize the junction exchanger-tank bottom?

Nice job Laboulle!

Placed upright it serves as a pump, sending water from the top of the outside coil and the return of water cooled by the return from the center.

It will pump water from the tank through the center of the coil by chimney effect.

Hi everybody

I said that I would not post any more, but .... there are only fools who do not change their mind

in fact I must make a round stainless steel plate to mount the crepantin on it

2 hot water seals is gone ...

everything is done, I would put pictures as soon as I have time ....

It is very simple to make 10ml of 8/10 copper, a tube of 50 diam as a support for bending, a few elbows, a little solder (special sanitary tin for certain who is looking for the little thing ...) it's good, pack it is paid...

it takes 3 hours of work with the cleaning (limestone) of the recovery water heater.

thank you for posting the photos christophe.

yes, but how are you going to make the stainless steel-copper junction tight, that's what worries me?

Well it's explained.

In the photo the 2 ends of straight tubes coming out of the coil are threaded.
Two seals provided on either side of the stainless steel base

The boulle

The return should have been outside the coil so as not to undergo heating by the chimney thus produced or simply isolated by the addition of a pipe of larger diameter over it.

Nice work La Boulle!

The hot water is held at the top of the tank, to have the coldest return possible and recover the most calories, it is better to bring the hot water through the top of the coil and use the coldest return possible.

I had to do stainless steel exchangers a few times. and this is how we proceeded for maximum yield.

You can try both and see the performance.

yes it is completely what is planned ..; look at the tube in the center goes up and this is where I will get hot water from the boiler or solar panel

with a valve I tell to slow the flow to have a cold case return
