Oh yes there are very close these 2 spreadsheets, it is especially that of the ECS that I improved.

If we want to limit the pressure losses, we can make several inputs-outputs (for example, instead of a 24 pipe m, put 2 12m or 3 8m), which will allow the heat transfer fluid to circulate as much less quickly, and to require a less powerful circulator.

Yes cuicui, provided you have enough volume in the buffer: 4 exchanger will take more space than one ... I do not think that the loss of load is very important.

Do not forget one thing: the heat exchanges are better in turbulent regime ie when the fluid circulates quickly (and much better, here we really feel the difference in the shower when the buffer is to the 33-35 ° C!) So as much on the solar side as on the side buffer: it must be as possible in high speed, it will improve the overall efficiency of the installation.

For COPA we must avoid turning too fast anyway: we must determine a happy medium ...

Hello

The delta T ° in the spreadsheet is not the temperature difference between the input and the output of the panels (or the coil) or there is a problem with the calculation.
Indeed, with a low T ° delta, the length of the coil increases, which means that the exchange surface is larger and therefore better.
I think this delta is the one between the average temperature in the coil and the water contained in the balloon.
Otherwise, the more the cold water is "brought up" towards the panels, the more chance it has of collecting correctly.
For this you need a maximum exchange, so a coil as long as possible.

Hello,
Could this improve trade if a turbulence generator is placed at the inlet of the heat exchanger tube?
(as for engines on admission) : Mrgreen:
It would create a "vortex" inside and virtually increase the speed of the water in the tube ...

This is not because we always said that it is impossible that we should not try :)

Yes it's an idea but it's not like with air ... it would be necessary almost to "spiral" the whole tube because water is not air (bcp more strongly) and especially the speed flow is quite low ... (compared to a WITH system) ...

I think we would have more to gain by shaking the buffer (so that the T ° of the fluid near the heat exchanger evening as low as possible) ...

Here is my exchanger made of annealed copper As we see it is rolled around a double magnum (diam 14cm approx) in a single length but fold to return on itself. So welding a U needed. Good solder will not move, so do it carefully.

of memory is 10 / 12mm

He slips into a recoup water heater balloon. of 150 liters thanks to its form in corkscrew. Otherwise the hole is smaller in diameter than my copper ca did not return.

a manufacturer in England was kind enough to give me a rule of bass: a quarter of the panel surface exchanger. If we talk about sensor 12m2 the reserve is more important but 3m2 can be difficult to realize.

I have temperature probes of everything and I have studied the yield. I rotate it approx. 250l / h with a small 12W pump. It gives me enough turbulence without forcing the pump for nothing.

Difference of temp. input / output of the balloon 2C env to minimize the perditions. It serves a square meter of panel.

Small system but effective. He gives 700W / m2 crest, cashed in the balloon. Here is a daily report, early May.

Tip, use the clime radiators cut as an absorber. Not expensive and very effective.

18 degree temperature rise in the day, it's more than 3kWh. Respectable for a square meter.

In July it exceeded 75C: I was forced to shower twice a day to cool it !!

Here is the vertical exchanger made by Laboule (who sent me the pictures but forgot to posted) it cost him about 40 €.

Soon the performances!

Nice place anyway!
