No, it is not the service providers who remunerate the consultant but the end customer himself. Moreover, the VAT applied (19,6%) on this service is often not the same as the corresponding discount granted by providers (5,5%).

Otherwise, it is certain that the consultant, like any person, can see only his own interests and advise his clients only to increase his turnover (by offering solar PV panels rather than improving insulation for example). But that is not the meaning of the mission described by Serge Vuillod, which he wants "ethical". On the other hand, a consultant alone, without enormous prospecting capacity, must above all rely on "word of mouth" and therefore must be as honest as possible.

Between us, this is one of the reasons that made me give up being a consultant. I couldn't see myself living on the little service that I could have offered to my clients.

The consultant is at the exclusive service of the client

by Serge Vuillod » 16/10/09, 22:11

It is true that this is a point that deserves to be perfectly clear and thank you for this question!

By signing the GREENEO charter, the GREENEO consultant undertakes never to receive any remuneration or commission, official or hidden, from a service provider, and this principle is strictly applied:

Only the client pays the consultant who accompanies him in the implementation of his project.

As a result, the consultant is in no way "the underwater salesperson" of the service provider, but, as it should be for an AMOA, "the buyer appointed by his client" and defending his interests as he should!

And this is the reason why he negotiates with the service provider, for the benefit of his client, an additional discount as part of the business contribution!

Normal, after all, the consultant brings a business to a Service Provider and could ask for a commission for a business provider, but he doesn't ! Instead, he asks the provider to make a discount to his client!

Suddenly, the client who entrusts an AMOA mission to a consultant for remuneration recovers in financial form a discount of the same order of magnitude as this compensation!

So we can see
- that everything is done in complete transparency for the client
- that the consultant never receives money from a service provider
- that its intervention invoiced to the customer is practically "amortized" on its simple role of buyer on behalf of the customer
- that all the other contributions of AMAO are therefore more!

I don't see where the ethical problem is!

Our many customers on the contrary very much appreciate such a device

Sincerely

Bonjour,

Do we have any other feedback on this network?

Cooler news?

Thank you in advance.

Hello

And thank you for your interest in our network

Today, we are around thirty consultants spread across France, mainly in Rhônes Alpes and around Nantes.

We have assembled more than 800 investment projects for individuals and have supported nearly 300 energy saving projects representing 7,5 million investments.

The network is therefore slowly but surely taking over, and thanks to the cross-fertilization of experiences, all together, we are further improving the economic performance of the projects we support.

We help the families we support to set up "profitable" projects which reduce their economic dependence on fluctuations in energy prices; but beyond the economic dimension, the ecological impact of our action is starting to become significant!

Environmentally, 300 projects, this represents approximately
- 1500 tonnes of CO2 saved per year (on average, 5T / project)
- 10 GigaWattHours CUMAC saved (on average 300 mega / project).

But it's a drop of water in the sea!

The eco-consultant job is fascinating insofar as we are catalysts, facilitators of change, but we also need craftsmen, design offices, architects, producers of solutions, etc. etc.

If we want to free ourselves from both the fossil fuel mortgage and the nuclear Damocles sword, we have to go much further, and all good will will be welcome in all of these trades that characterize environmental performance, the only sector that fully justifies double-digit growth, and therefore hundreds of thousands of jobs.

Very cordially

What do you think of :
http://www.dlsc.ca/DLSC_Brochure_f.pdf
http://www.dlsc.ca/borehole.htm

Do you plan to have it made in the PACA region in a large Canadian well that stores summer solar heat underground to heat up in winter, much easier in the PACA region than in Canada at 1000m altitude, much colder and further north !!

Profitability is certain since it is in perpetuity without any pollution, unlike nuclear power plants, PACs and wood boilers !!

The role of the consultants consists in supporting their client in carrying out a 6-step approach:
1 - Help the customer to analyze and understand their energy situation

2 - Inform the customer about the different types of solutions available to him to optimize his energy budget by indicating for each his advantages, its disadvantages, the investment to be expected and the expected gains, and finally, helping the customer to choose solutions that suit him

3 - Help the client to frame the financing plan for his project: Project framing budget, possible subsidies (tax credit), loans (PTZ), equity, etc.

4 - Help the client to set up his project: Consultation of providers, choice of solutions, price negotiation, contractualization, and finally closing of the financing plan

5 - Support the client in the contractual and administrative follow-up of their project (deadline, price, deliverables)

6 - Help the client to take stock of the savings actually made.

It is point 2 which deals with the presentation of the different types of possible solutions, and the solutions of the "so-called Canadian or Provençal well" type are effectively part of the range of solutions.

The question was:
What do you think of :
http://www.dlsc.ca/DLSC_Brochure_f.pdf
http://www.dlsc.ca/borehole.htm

Do you plan to have it made in the PACA and west region in a large Canadian well that stores summer solar heat underground to heat the winter, much easier in the PACA or west region, than in Canada at 1000m altitude , much colder and further north !!

Do you present this possibility to your customers, instead of short-lived nuclear-powered PACs and as experts, push yourself the government to subsidize a little compared to nuclear power and to have research carried out to reduce the cost of the necessary drilling and an adaptation to France of this very effective system in the long term in CO2 and absence of pollution and nuclear disaster !!

In the PACA region, we do not yet have GREENEO consultants.

More generally, the concerns you raise fall within the framework of our concerns, and we do provide our clients with real education on the various existing solutions, with their economic and ecological advantages and disadvantages, in terms often close to yours. But in the end, it is of course the customer who decides!

The network benefits from an intranet integrating a wiki dedicated to a collaborative watch provided by all the consultants. Thanks to this device, all the sensitivities present within the network can be expressed, and a lot of information is regularly brought to the attention of all.

As for our influence on government institutions, let us remain modest, we are not sure that it is significant, even if we regularly express opinions and regularly take clear positions such as for example the "regret" (diplomatic term) to see as this is currently the case with the measures taken in terms of PV.

Admittedly, the most environmentally friendly solutions are not always those that are best supported by incentive systems.

Sincerely

Hello,

After calling on a Greeneo consultant to guide my renovation work, I am totally convinced, and ready to embark on the experiment.

However, it is difficult for me to establish a financial plan without feedback, and more particularly during the first months of activity ...

Thank you for any help that could be brought to me in this direction, or any useful info.
