Yes, finally what I want to emphasize especially, what visibly in wind, sometimes 1 m near (higher / lower, front / back) it radically changes the conditions.
Suddenly, quite a study, as the launch at the exact place where would be implanted the proposed wind turbine.
it avoids bad surprises and validates or not the location chosen.

by the way, there are also 2 columns Wind Level (bft) and Gust Level (bft) that I do not understand. A roundish a little weird?

Ben bft it's just conversion to Beaufort ... as it is a range of value ca can vary greatly depending on whether you are near the high or low limit of a beach ...

It is true but the installation of the weather station was not for this purpose ... the I give the results for "info" to think about the method.

But as said above: I could very well put on a mat.

it would take a little anemometer really cheap to put moreer on the same mat at different height and save everything

question? Does that exist ? to simply put at the end of a wire, especially no radio transmission, or should it also be manufactured?

the velocity curve according to the height would make it possible to estimate what there is to gain with a mat still higher

to take advantage of the low wind the number of blades does not do much to the business ... there is only one thing that counts, increase the diameter ... alas to increase the diameter makes greater effort in case strong wind, so very expensive

that's why everyone prefers to increase the height of the mast to get a stronger wind than to increase the diameter of the helix to not do much with the small wind from below and to be broken in stormy case

remains this regrettable limit of 12m, ridiculous when there are trees higher around ... but it is not forbidden to do higher, it is necessary to obtain the authorization

to mount a first mast with a very silent wind turbine at 12m is a good way to reassure the neighborhood to easily obtain the authorization to do a little higher, but not to miss, not to let a noisy shit turn

This complete weather station is very remarkable for the price !!
The recordings must be average and give the max in gust (gust level) probably!
A windmax of 150KM / h is rare especially in a clearing surrounded by trees !!
These are whirlwinds of a few seconds rare (enough to demolish a roof 160Kg by m2 !!).
On the other hand a wind in a clearing is weak, even with a valid wind on the heights, except arrival of vortices and therefore the wind turbine can not be effective.
In addition, a sail, a wind turbine blade, an airplane wing, a windsurf sail, in a very turbulent wind has no lift !! (or at least very small) and an elongated blade wind turbine greatly loses its effectiveness at the same apparent wind speed, if it is very turbulent like behind trees or walls!
Having made the windsurfing in the mistral fort coming from the ground, we come back easily from the sea (a pleasure it goes on) but a few hundred meters from the edge with hills, the turbulence and swirls become very strong and the closer you get to the edge, the harder it is, lift of the sail, to wind up the wind reduced to little, and the more we struggle with falls in the water, if we do not know how to guess the whirlpools on the water of the sea and position the sail accordingly and keep its balance with a sail that turns in all directions and even projects you in water !! Once in the water we drift quickly to lose all that was won, as long aswe did not understand the mechanics of vortices !!
Some panicked had to be rescued !!
Also a classic wind turbine with elongated blades, with mostly whirlpools, always true with obstacles around, walls, trees, (far enough, 2 to 5 times the height or width of the obstacle) will work much worse in recovered energy, than expected for the measured wind speed measured !!
The ROBIPLAN more in strait should work better !!
Mounting the mast does not only increase the wind, it dramatically decreases the turbulence by increasing the efficiency by the fineness of the blades (length to width ratio up to 50 on glider)
One must have windsurfing and return to the powerful mistral, to appreciate with his body, his muscles, and even with anxiety, all the fundamental importance.
it would take a small anemometer really cheap to put several on the same mat at different heights and record everything

A simple solution is a wind vane with anything (horizontal plate, drilled flexible tube), raised especially as the wind speed is strong, coupled with a cheap position or rotation sensor, potentiometer, optical, effect Hall with magnet, or even cheap camera taking a picture per second of all anemometers at a time, etc. for a few € !!

the classic three-bucket anemometer has a serious advantage! yes this advantage is a disadvantage! he enjoys the wind in all directions, the tourbilon does not interfere

for a real big wind turbine if the wind is too turbulent it pushes the blades half in one direction and half in the other and the result is sad

I need cheap anemometers to record real data: I am horrified at the price of what is found in the trade, and the complexity of the solution ...

the angle of a board pushed by the wind is not the simplest, either it does not measure the weak wind, not the strong wind ... position sensor more expensive than a simple lap count, it becomes wrong if the support is leaning

I move towards the mini wind turbine solution: a wind vane is oriented in the direction of the wind, and a propeller turns with the wind: helix is not very long, or low incidence to have a speed proportional to the wind

it will finally be easier than a bucket anemometer and a separate wind vane

and it will not take into account the whirlpool in all directions but only the wind that the wind vane can follow
