the inverter a masspower 300G-WDL 10.8V 30 V DC.
What do you think of this machine:
http://www.gudcraftonline.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=WG700%5F24V
1500 W wind problem 24VDC
I do not see why this low speed wind turbine 9Km / h to 40Km / h (where it stops) would do better than the first of this forum.
Very little info: none on the speed of rotation of the blades, hardly above the wind speed at the blade tip (??) and therefore 1 to 2 turns per second at 10 t / s probably.
At these rotational speeds the alternator seems to me to be too small to give this power 700W with 24V, because the voltage in the windings increases like the speed of the magnets and therefore too low speed (linked to the diameter of the rotor too) implies low voltages and low power in fact, as for the first wind turbine.
I find it hard to understand how they do it without gears to speed up the alternator!
I would tend to ask how they do it ???
Without a clear credible scientific answer (article references), I would very much doubt.
No detailed info on the CD 2.5 controller recommended, charged battery (plpmb ?? different from other batteries), input voltage less than 24V, currents ???, conversion and regulation mode, efficiency, etc ...
An essential point is to ability to read instructions in .pdf mounting, operation, errors not to do, detailed specifications, etc.
Without being able to read the instructions before, I never buy a technological device !!!
Even less confidence, they sell discount with less info than for hotcakes !!!

Hello;
They sent me the installaton manual.
There's not too much:
be able to read the assembly instructions in .pdf => I have this
operation => I don't have
mistakes not to make => I have nothing special
detailed specifications => Not much see below
etc ..
Nominal power 500 W at 10 M / s
Max power 700 W
Start speed 2 m / s !!!
Rotational speed at nominal 700 rpm
Generator weight => 9 kg
Diameter 1.7 meters
Number of blades 3
FRP blade materials (?)
weight of one or more blades 2.5 kg
If you have good addresses, I am interested.
I found other alternators but you have cooled me down a bit.

To which we must add everything else.

Some reactions to read thoroughly:
It looks more serious the material on ebay manufactured by

Its wing profile has a shape and a variable angle with the distance to the axis to take into account the speed of the blades variable with the distance to the axis (relative wind effect which changes the angle of incidence)? ??
A propeller is very complex, more than an airplane wing, especially if the tip of the blades goes faster than the wind !!!
To check on the propellers in low wind, because crucial, otherwise the tip of the blades brakes fully and no power !!!!.

You have to ask for French user names (and not only UK) to see them and ask for their practical advice.
In any case, ask Greenpeace what they think about it ???

They claim that it survives 180Km / h (50m / s) !!

They have provided a very good static balancing (balancing !!) against noise, especially if you add a little dynamic balancing.
England is not too far away and if you are not happy, you can go protest at the manufacturer Futurenergy Ltd
