Exploitation of the mechanical energy of the rock

Renewable energies except solar electric or thermal (seeforums dedicated below): wind turbines, energy from the sea, hydraulic and hydroelectricity, biomass, biogas, deep geothermal energy ...

Hello everyone, and thank you for your opinions.

So has this idea already appeared as a farce in a Science et Vie? I thought I was original ... Finally, innovations sometimes come from eccentric ideas, you have to say that !!

Indeed I probably got on fire by saying that the mountains could "push back". It seemed logical to me at the time, but on reflection it seems a little capillotracted ...

After as for the problem of particle size, it all depends what is the limit that we set !!

On the other hand, the idea of the chairlift seems to me to deepen.

Or it could possibly be possible to use this same process, without using the rock, but using metallic masses (we would be closer to densities of 5, or even much more !!)
The idea would then be to use the potential energy of these masses, always by bringing them down, during peak periods, and then raising them during off-peak periods. In addition we could smooth the production curve !!

With efficiency and self-consumption, we could, with large installations, produce in the 500 MW, or half a nuclear power plant !!

What do you think ?

PS: no, this is not a troll ... :-(

Absolutely, it would be interesting to find the S&V article in question ...

Just to see the shape.

For the rest, I remain on the position of my 1st answer.

I find you a little hard with me Obamot.

I never attacked anyone, or even launched a troll. I just explained an idea, which seems entirely possible to me. The proof: we already use a similar principle with water retention dams !!

I came on this forum to try to exchange, to propose my ideas and to learn more than by the "conventional" ways.

Now, if you take me for a troll because Cheval (even if his "pressure group" had made me jump and laugh a bit anyway) or Gaston (?) Came to comment here ... I find it a bit pity...

+1

Please refocus.

Let's find the S&V.
