Caribou: I think like you: a pot of grease, an oil burette, I would try (I revive many amps of the 70s :D )

first you need to know the precise characteristics of your stream and your water rights to know how much you can have in summer and winter. The total height of fall is as important as the flow if you have 3m of fall maybe you can put 2 in cascade.
I had a 30hp turbine at home which was 60 years old and which was in good condition. I sold it through the association, the alarm clock of the mills because I did not have enough water to run it. Great fun to take it out it weighed about 3 tonnes. This allowed me to finance part of my new installation.
Vietnamese equipment may not be as reliable as French equipment.
I have a right of water on a sprinkler channel so I can take all the water on a river I think you can not take more than 40% of the flow.
use the site's search engine and you will see that we have already talked about it several times.
I send you a private message for my contact details.

Raymon

It is made in England and Canada:

How could you believe it was a Vietnamese product? I think they are especially famous for spring rolls :-)

And yes, it is clear that anything that can increase the flow will be welcome.

I'm pretty sure it's the same machine but made in Vietnam at that price, I doubt it will be made in Canada. It is surely a local distributor, I met a distributor in France who told me that she had a weakness in the alternator it does not prevent the concept is interesting

I had made a small spreadsheet file last year to calculate what can come out of a waterfall, here it is: https://www.econologie.info/share/partag ... METp3d.xls

And here is an "online" version: https://www.econologie.com/calculer-la-p ... -4035.html

ps: vinio, we already have similar projects on forums, did you use https://www.econologie.com/forums/search.php to do some research?

Ok, I will search for "power station", "pico" and "hydroelectricity".

Thank you

Bucheron, if you share an Excel file like this it is imperative to put a legend on the definitions of your formulas. What is turbine flow ??
Unless you are a hydraulic engineer, there is little chance that your Excel spreadsheet will be used. : Idea:

In addition, this only applies to a certain type of turbine or all ??

Uh, I did a research on the forum on very small hydroelectric plants and I mostly found my post. :?
So in my opinion it does not abound that much. But hey, I already have some leads, that's already it.

Well, you didn't type the right keywords with "Moulin", you would have found:

https://www.econologie.com/forums/comment-fa ... t5108.html
https://www.econologie.com/forums/produire-s ... t1337.html

And there are many others ... more recent ...

Examples:
https://www.econologie.com/forums/projet-min ... t7728.html
and my current project: https://www.econologie.com/forums/tambour-de ... t6303.html

For Bucheron .xls, it gives roughly the same thing as the online version ...
