Geothermal energy: the Swiss queen of heat pumps?

Renewable energies except solar electric or thermal (seeforums dedicated below): wind turbines, energy from the sea, hydraulic and hydroelectricity, biomass, biogas, deep geothermal energy ...

Geothermal energy: the Swiss queen of heat pumps?

by Christophe » 14/03/08, 16:27

By uploading this file: Geothermal and heat pump: performance, examples, COP and water standards I found the next slide on http://www.pac.ch/chiffres_04.html which puzzled me, but see

These are the new heating systems for Switzerland.

Geothermal energy has a share of 1 / 3! What seems to me huge!

Bizare, how much of wood is negligible in Switzerland? Yet neighbor of Austria, one of the Pellets champion? : Shock:

Why are you amazed : Shock: I am sure that the share of oil and gas is crumbling. This is not surprising in France too pac and to a lesser extent the wood follow the path of very strong growth.

Who is stupid enough to settle in oil or gas today? : Idea:

I agree with you but I am amazed because:

a) I still doubt that in France the PAC constitute 35% of the new market ...

b) Who is stupid enough? Well the rest ie grossomodo 65% of people ... Example, look at new houses "turnkey": 90% is fuel oil ...

Fuel oil remains a "safe haven" despite the price: we are sure that it works and that the hassle will be minimal!

It's sad to say but it is certainly not the entrepreneurs of the house who will dare to take risks, however the benefits they take them!
