Future of energies

Renewable energies except solar electric or thermal (seeforums dedicated below): wind turbines, energy from the sea, hydraulic and hydroelectricity, biomass, biogas, deep geothermal energy ...

If you are talking about the external electrolyte battery recently mentioned on the forum, you will admit that it is still on the bench of a lab, and the source is not anyway a scientific report anyway so I am wary all the more since that explains nothing of the operation ... a little light you will agree. I see so many mind-blowing mistakes in TV / paper newspapers every day, including scientific journals and shows that I no longer trust journalists, especially when it comes to energy. They tell at least one bullshit per sentence. They often even distort the meaning of the official statements they claim to report.

As for the CEA documents, I haven't read them, I admit. But I still say that today there is no cost-effective and achievable mass electric storage solution. Otherwise be sure that the electricity producers would already be equipped. There is no shortage of researchers' gadgets ... there is a groooooosse market rarely crossed!

After, as I said, we are not immune to a state-of-the-art gadget. But frankly I do not wait after.

The CEA document that I mention talks about exactly the same thing, is that "scientific" enough for you?

A priori, we must agree with you for the lack of implementation, at least on a large scale and in France. When to find out the real reasons for this was fact?
But that doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

Dsl for having dropped you in the discussion !! I no longer have internet at home, I have to wait for the weekends to be able to surf!
Thank you bcp for your answers, I am advancing a little faster than before because I wanted at all costs to start my research with wind power (I don't know why) which remained unsuccessful. Since I'm on the tidal turbines and the solar it advances bcp faster!
Even hydrogen could not be used for storage? I'm really bothered by wind, I can't find anything!
I will see all the leads you send me!
Thanks again!
Webmaster, if you want I could pass you my nanothesis if I receive a good grade of course, as you wish!

Hello everybody!
It has been a long time since I came for lack of time; here I am again!
My nanothesis is becoming clearer and above all is becoming urgent :) Why do I work all the time at the last minute ?? Anyway, I have a week left !!! So if you can help me it would be great
Here I do my part mainly on solar then if you have information on the future of solar. I'm already talking about air shutter, H20SS for thermal and for PV I'm talking about the concern of Si whose shortage is starting to scare (at the wallet).
If you have supplements, ocntacts, sites to give me I am taker thank you very much!

Hello, I saw a show called New Explorers which showed hydrogen wind turbines in Norway.

the principle is simple when the electric production exceeds the demand, the surplus is stored in the form of hydrogen and consumed in generator sets from 19 hours, during the peak of consumption (it is on an island)

Below is a link I found on google

Hydrogen stocks

Utsira is now able to power itself with electrical energy. Two wind turbines are in operation and when the wind blows to the point that the production of electric current exceeds the municipality's energy needs, the surplus is stored in the form of hydrogen.

In addition, the electrical energy produced by wind turbines is used for the electrolysis of water, which generates hydrogen. When the wind weakens, the stored hydrogen is used in turn as fuel in a hydrogen engine, which produces electricity.

- It is really fortunate that HYDRO and its commercial partners have decided to extend this project, said Mayor Geir Helge Rasmussen. He adds that this project has so far provoked major chain reactions to the benefit of Utsira, such as a greater number of passengers on regular shipping lines connecting the island to the mainland or even better use of infrastructure of Utsira like its chalets by the sea.

This is the first time I have read such a thing!

Until then we have always been told that the production of electricity is not STOCKABLE (thank you EDF) and justifies the use at all costs and at all times of the electricity produced by our dear nuclear power plants.

Yes electricity in itself is not stokable but it can become so via a vector: hydrogen for example. Another solution is to use electricity to pump water, for example, which will be used in a hydro power plant when demand arises.
Thank you bcp aidiv! But I would especially like information in the field of solar. Cec idit your intervention is interesting and is not at all off topic! thanks again

Of course agree with aidiv, it is EDF which "entube" us : Evil:

Hello,
I have a few fairly specific questions to ask you:
How does a plasma lamp work?
Does anyone have or know where to find a graph on the evolution of the price of Silicon?
A superimposition of layers of gallium-indium-phosphorus, gallium arsenide and germanium enlarges the spectrum of light converted into electricity. Why use these materials?
Why use rare earths for up-conversion or down-conversion?
So I know, they are precise but it is for this reason that I ask them to you;)
please

Hi POLO,

How does a plasma lamp work?
=> see there:
http://www.europlasma.fr/savoir/savoir- ... sav-tp.htm

Does anyone have or know where to find a graph on the evolution of the price of Silicon?
=> As a preamble, you should know that until a very recent period, photovoltaic cells (CP) used the waste of microelectronics foundries (basically bad chips).
In the race for performance, this waste is becoming scarce and at the same time the need for manufacturing CPs is increasing. CP manufacturers increasingly use pure silicon and become competitors (at the supply level) of microelectronic foundries, without having the added value of the latter. Hence a spike in the prices of their raw materials.
For info, search on English-speaking microelectronics sites.

for the rest ... no info

good luck
