Wind turbine: hub and blades replacement by larger?

Renewable energies except solar electric or thermal (seeforums dedicated below): wind turbines, energy from the sea, hydraulic and hydroelectricity, biomass, biogas, deep geothermal energy ...

For me, it is clear that since the identical one of plasmanu turns well, then that of ruthene must turn in a similar way !!
Otherwise, that of ruthene has a basic error to clear up, before any other action, more complex !!

In 39 pages we have hardly advanced, except that it must turn with certainty.

retrieved the AirX hub
Put the AirX blades
Tomorrow on the roof if the weather permits, it is raining and sliding
:frown:
put the wedges to increase the angle of attack.
The aluminum hub is smaller, will have to be tricky to fix the cone which is suddenly too big of nothing at all.

I did not put it back because it did not turn even with winds of 35 km / h.
I have a guy from Russia who contacted me, he has the same problem.

I am in the process of thinking about my next prototype or purchase.

I also used the seller's ratings.
Many are very satisfied.
The rallyers are those who have not received the package immediately: free delivery is never fast.
I contacted one of the (Belgian) buyers his first wind turbine, the AC 12v model
It uses it with a diode bridge.
Hence my purchase of the diode bridge for AC, despite the 12V DC model
And I would have bought a GTI AC (dump loader option), not a hybrid DC.

My total cost:
Wind turbine € 297
Pale airX 70 €
AirX hub 30 €
Diode bridge 10 €
GTI 500w 150 € + 20 € customs
Mat 150 €

727€

And a hub + blades set from ista to find a small 300w generator

I just glued the cone. It stuck by itself at the start of each blade.

there is no wind, but the only gust: the blades make more noise than the original by cutting through the air.
The position is the middle of my attic.
Plus the party wall.

Mistral scheduled Friday afternoon at 20km / h
and Saturday afternoon 20km / h gust 50km / h

a little southerly wind and good rain
It starts easily
It whistles down.

No production, with peanuts of wind we have peanuts.

tomorrow from the mistral, a little 20km / h
same Saturday 20km / h
Sunday 30km / h gust 55km / h

Edit:
I'm going to transfer the sugars under the alternator. it is too much misery to fix in balance with in one hand the wind turbine with the other the screwdriver and the mast around the knees. Must see a quick electrician thing for ceiling light that is neutral, phase + earth.
Once I saw that one of the three phases was stripped of sugar during assembly (seen that at disassembly).

I think I know why it's not spinning. I put the hub with its blades on a tube and put in full wind. It turns a little (1/2 to 2 turns) than during very big gusts.

I'm thinking of the shape of the washer that goes behind the hub. It is not perfectly flat.
Curved and curved behind.
Watch that the curved side is on the bearing side. Otherwise it presses badly.

Météo-France changes every day : Shock:
I will send a CV
"Hello incompetent total including nothing, just with a frog and a jar only asking twice the minimum wage .... With a great calculator in the pocket" : Mrgreen:

If dedicated is right when saying / thinking that the sagem edf is analog with digital display: we will quickly know.
With the integrated instantaneous consumption meter.
It would be colossal : Cheesy:

my hub
http://cgi.ebay.fr/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie ... 0757019974
my blades 31 "
http://cgi.ebay.fr/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie ... 0982395814

my 3 airX blades cost me € 26 + € 38 port of Italy
the airX hub 30 $ or about 23 €

My ista has original blades of 61cm diameter 132cm
61cm is 24 "

Ruthene you can otherwise only buy 3 blades of 27 "for your original hub. You earn 3" per blade. 6 "in diameter.
