Hello,
I wish to make a generator for a wind turbine and I would like your opinion concerning:
For the rotor use plywood (Wood) instead of steel: Doesn't it decrease the power?
for the stator is it mandatory to use magnets with the same power and the same size.

Welcome, habib.
1) maybe you should put a title on your subject. If this is not possible create another.
2) well ... plywood, it fears humidity, even the marine. Then you have to shape it: a propeller is a wing, unless you want to cut in the massif:

thank you for your reply
concerning the title I think there is a problem because I already put the title (2 times) but it does not appear.
for plywood I would like to use it at the alternator (glue the magnets on the plywood instead of steel)
thanks again

Since a good alternator runs at 3000 rpm, I am not enthusiastic!

I created a test subject, it works normally
for me the problem persists because I edit the subject for the fourth time without result
here is the title that I put: "request for help: 1st wind turbine"

help request: 1 st wind turbine
It seems to me that Christophe warned us that the accents in the titles no longer worked ...habib wrote:here is the title that I put: "request for help: 1st wind turbine"
