Comparative biomass boiler?

Renewable energies except solar electric or thermal (seeforums dedicated below): wind turbines, energy from the sea, hydraulic and hydroelectricity, biomass, biogas, deep geothermal energy ...

Comparative biomass boiler?

by jef8484 » 23/05/08, 16:15

I have a passive active solar house for 24 years and I plan to install a central heating with wood and other biomass to replace the insert which is used as a complement to solar heating (air collectors + forced air in the house)
I plan to burn fuels that will cost me almost nothing: waste from grain silos, shredded wood, lavender straw, etc.
I roughly need 15KW especially in winter ... the off season (March to April and Oct Nov the solar ensures 90%) and I do not know which brand to choose
REKA
HS
ENERGY SYSTEM
VERNER
does anyone have any information? advantage and disadvantage of each model.
thank you in advance

reka is the only multi fuel boiler of which I saw a good description on the net!

its operation with a kind of almost horizontal grid movable in several parts, makes the fuel gradually approach the hearth: this is the principle of incineration plants: it is a good way to accept any fuel

finally I did not really get an answer but I invested in a Reka 10kw multi-fuel boiler and I spent 2 winters without problem because the equipment works perfectly and is rustic
As for the air sensors, it has been working since 1985 either without problems and it is located in Vaucluse at 700m altitude

You made the right choice: I have never heard of anything wrong with the Reka, moreover I believe that they make boilers of very large powers (farmer, public building ...) proof that they know their trade.

Rustic, it does not matter: sustainability is done in simplicity.

Do you want to show us your solar hot air installation (a diagram, some photos?)?
