Hi everybody,
It was while reading this post that I had the idea to search on the net how to break the SY 124.
So I go back this post, old 2 years, to put you a link that I think could interested in the world ...
http://drmarkforeman.wordpress.com/page/2/
So I asked Remundo what he thought about it, and he will come to tell you about it himself.
Managing the shortage: Discolored heating oil in an HDi car?
Hi Bastof,
Interesting link indeed.
Rather than completely destroy the SY124, the author proposes to cut it by acidic aqueous attack, the various components being supposed to go into the water.
Here is the proposed reaction scheme
Putting water and oil together, it does not mix very well; it would be necessary to start by mixing the acidic water with the Diesel, to obtain a kind of emulsion where the SY124 is attacked, then to allow to decant and to separate the water from the Diesel.
The author indicates that other dyes are present in England and discriminate the discolored Diesel even after elimination of SY124 (in particular quinizarin) and expresses his doubts, both on the possibility of obtaining a "real false" Diesel , and especially on the financial relevance of such an operation.
This is indeed the aim of the authorities.
It is actually more profitable to use food or vegetable oils in old generation Diesel ...
The old tractor with sunflower oil, the old 405 D with cooking oil ... except that

Thus the UK farm diesel is likely to be very cheap, maybe it would be more simple and cheaper to fill a legal diesel pump !

Despite this, a European 2003 directive that recognizes pure vegetable oil as "alternative fuel" to oil. In France, it is totally forbidden and illegal for individuals to run the engines with cooking oil or vegetable because this fuel escapes the Internal Tax on Petroleum Products (TIPP). The fine incurred is one or two times the amount of unpaid taxes and 22 euros for the TIPP. French law only recognizes and authorizes fishermen, farmers and local authorities use vegetable oils and cooking oils as fuel.

Hello
I did the test the red oil in a glass container and an old aquarium leave the sun in 30 days the red becomes very pale at 40 days it becomes transparent yellow the scent is approaching the diesel trade.
On accelleration and consumption, the farmer is right with red better yield.
There is also the kerosene jet B pump from the airport that runs in the diesel engine, I regularly put in the big lawn tractor of the airport, I add a little oil
Periodically it is necessary to purge the big tank for the plane jet, to eliminate all trace of water and residues (in aviation it is quite a ceremonial.)
when the tanker is bleeding its hoses it is 25 to 40 liters
purges end in the old Mercedes 300D, it works well ..

No idea if it really works ... nor the time needed ... and I said "it seems" ...Unfortunately these approvals (of coloring) added to the diesel fuel to make it fuel, it was made very polluting and less heat than before treatment, result we must burn more in his boiler to obtain the same result as if it was pure! ...
Because I am not.
Some farmers with whom I had the opportunity to discuss mechanics thought the opposite: the red is more energetic than the road because of anti pollution additives of the road ...

Hello everyone,
https://patents.google.com/patent/CN106 ... 106318441A
It's not really planned for that, but it seems that it works.
To try ...

Hi Pat, happy to see you here!
The patent of the link is in Chinese and the explanation in English is quite technical: did you experiment the recipe with consumer products?
