They are wrong path in Iter!

Oil, gas, coal, nuclear (PWR, EPR, hot fusion, ITER), gas and coal thermal power plants, cogeneration, tri-generation. Peakoil, depletion, economics, technologies and geopolitical strategies. Prices, pollution, economic and social costs ...

The ITER project is now connected to the electricity network

The international research project Iter, the objective of which is to generate electricity by nuclear fusion (“conventional” nuclear power plants use nuclear fission), was connected for the first time to the electricity network. A connection which represents a challenge for RTE.

Launched in 2008, the Iter project is now connected to the French electricity network. A connection that posed many challenges to RTE, according to Jean-Michel Bottereau, the technical manager of ITER. The needs of the Iter are "nothing exceptional in terms of power but, on the other hand, are out of the ordinary in terms of variations", he explained.

The ITER must indeed be connected to a very high voltage network because in the context of the research carried out on the project, the researchers use extremely large peaks of electricity, up to 620 MW.

600MW of consumption peak ???

iter will therefore still produce nothing but will require a great effort from the entire french network!

ITER must be abandoned because it is not viable due to uncontrollable disruptions which can destroy the machine and seriously pollute the environment. The credits not yet used could finally be allocated to the construction of a Z-machine powerful enough to study the Z-pinch serving as an ignition system for non-polluting nuclear reactors with hydrogen-boron fusion, of a moderate cost and not presenting no theoretical difficulties.

It looks like Jean Pierre Petit :D

Finally, we see that the headquarters of ITER Organization costs € 57 million by itself, it is not very wise ITER ...

It is indeed the only one to give information on the Z-Pinch, since he personally knows a certain number of researchers working on the subject.
Apart from the criticism of ITER, you do not give your opinion on the underlying problem.

Hi Cuicui,

I already gave it. Here is a summary:

- I would not put a kopek in ITER.
- Z-Pinch can work, especially for the military.
- With 15 billion euros, we can build some beautiful renewable energy plants.

ITER, taming the sun in a jar, is a dream, at 15 billion €, already 55 years old, worse than that of the VIALLE contraption or others with over-energy, because it promises a result only in 25 to 50 years minimum, and one cannot test it quickly like the delirious dreams of over-energy, by making a bet with 1000 € or 5000 € in front of usher, that it will not work, easy money to win, which tests the determination and confidence of these dreamers, towards their muddy claims !!!

How many holes of 20mm in diameter could we make by filling France with heating with the summer heat kept for the winter, as in www.dlsc.ca , with this € 15 billion, perfectly ecological, unlike ITER which will never be, even if it works in 50 years !!
