I did not know, nor had I seen; it's staggering:
on 100km x 80 km of shale gas wells every 250 to 500m or 4 to 16 per km2 !!!

On the same surface, with the same shallow boreholes and solar with geothermal storage, not polluting, we would have a source of perpetual energy far superior to what has been removed !!

Terrifying !!

and it’s all due to Bush and company, who, in 20045, exempted companies from all liability for their pollution, exemption from the "clean water act" , a deregulation scandal !!
Same as for the current financial crises due to total deregulation.

-500 m is ideal ...!

It constantly has a constant temperature of around 26 ° C. Enough to heat any “traditional” construction fitted with oversized radiators.

(12 ° C from the first 20 meters below ground level - and depending on the nature of the basement - then we gain 3 ° C every 100 meters)

You would have to know how much such a drilling campaign cost, and what was its duration: then divide by the number of wells ... and we would have the "industrial economic cost»Real ...

Made on a large scale it should not cost a lot amha ...

It is also very likely that they could find mineral resources (excluding shale gas) that could well absorb some of these costs ... Especially if they found gold-type veins there ... Groundwater or even oil or coal as strategic reserves ...

I think they don't bother, for lack of imagination and because fossil fuels are still paying off ...
But maybe more for a long time.

The lobbies are on their way to exploit shale gas; the ENRs have a concern.
The international energy agency publishes a document aimed at convincing public opinion.

Shale gas: golden rules to convince public opinion
The IEA presented rules of conduct to overcome opposition to unconventional hydrocarbons and reach the golden age of gas. A strategy which, if it applied, could penalize renewable energies.

The map of gas and oil exploration permits in France as of June 12, 2012:

http://www.developpement-durable.gouv.fr/-Permis-de-recherche-carte-des-.html

You can consult the precise map of the request, the letter of the request, etc.
