hello, hydrogen fuel cell, not methanol
it uses the hydrogen produced by the generator from a socket (less good unless it is renewable) the hydrogen is stored in metal hydride
and then converted on demand into electricity.

Indeed it is excessively expensive. But let's say that the first large plasma TV around 1998 sold for 10.000 euros incl.

it is actually a battery (which is a fuel cell), whose charger is an electrolyser. It is therefore necessary to compare what is comparable.
- the capacity is 100 Wh per kilo: it is 3 times better than lead but less good than Li-Ion or LiPo batteries.
- the price is 6000 euros (HT) per kW: here again we can find better.
The site says nothing about the overall charge / discharge efficiency or the number of cycles.
The price is actually not the criterion, as said Elephant, but as a buyer (virtual !!) I ask myself questions:
- why buy expensive today a product which I can find the equivalent cheaper, lighter, less bulky?
- what are the possibilities of evolution of such a product from the point of view of specific energy (Wh / kg)? It will not come from the electrolyser; I doubt that fuel cell yields will change significantly.
The targets for batteries are around 300 to 600 Wh / kg (we are at 170 Wh / kg today). Conclusion: this hydrogen fuel cell is certainly a beautiful technological toy, I will follow its evolution with interest, but I abstain !!!!!
