A fire having put the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (Turkey) pipeline out of service, the stopping of the railway means that the only Azerbaijani oil exports are ensured by a pipeline connecting the deposits of the Caspian Sea to the Russian port of Novorossiysk , on the Black Sea.

The Russians do not support this pipeline which transports oil to the EU without going through / or under the control of Russia.

They want to control all that is "oil + gas" in this region which was under Russian domination (ex-USSR) 20 years ago.

Georgia in NATO and / or the EU and ally of the USA, it is unbearable for Putin, him the former of the KGB.

A very recent news item on FR3 news at 23pm: Would the Russians practice the scorched earth policy before leaving Georgia (which has not yet been done because there are roadblocks on the road from Gori to Tbilisi from + and + close to the capital: filmed by reporters this afternoon).

The Georgia National Park is on fire over 100taines of hectares, but officially the Russians have done nothing (apart from a few helicopter flights over the area ... !!).

Ah thank you sir!

I admit that I did "crack the feelings" for the soundtrack :) I hesitated for a long time (between 30s and 1 minute :D) between the Russian anthem and the song of the Russian partisans ... but the anthem being much better known ...

Otherwise it was only the "beta" version I put the "final" version on youtube if it is not tonight it will be tomorrow morning ...

Moscow says withdrawal of Russian forces has started, Tbilisi denies

NOUVELOBS.COM | 18.08.2008 | 14: 27

The Russian general staff says that the withdrawal of its forces has started, as the Russian president had promised. On the contrary, according to Tbilisi, they are still advancing in Georgia.
Moscow has reportedly deployed several missile launch pads in South Ossetia.

Deputy Chief of Staff Anatoly Nogovitsyn said on Monday (August 18th) that "in accordance with the peace plan, the withdrawal of Russian peacekeeping forces began today".
Despite the ceasefire signed between Georgia and Russia, and while Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has promised Nicolas Sarkozy to withdraw his troops on Monday, Russian tanks and soldiers are still reportedly in Georgia on Monday.

“Unfortunately, we do not see any signs that the Russians are starting to withdraw or prepare to withdraw from Georgia,” said Georgian Interior Ministry spokesman Chota Utiashvili. "Six Russian armored vehicles are heading from Khachouri (center) towards Satchkere and six others towards Borjomi", declared the spokesman of the ministry, Chota Utiachvili.
While troop movements have been reported on the ground, no massive withdrawal of Russian forces does indeed seem to have been initiated.

According to Tbilisi, Russian troops are even advancing in Georgia. "Six Russian armored vehicles are heading from Khachouri towards Satchkere and six others towards Borjomi," said the spokesman for the Georgian interior ministry. Satchkhere is about fifty kilometers north of Khachouri (center), while Borjomi is 25 kilometers southwest of this town.

Russian missile launch pads in Ossetia

In addition, the capital of Georgia, Tbilisi, would be within range of Russian fire, Moscow having deployed several launch pads of tactical missiles SS-21.
in South Ossetia, the American daily The New York Times reported on Sunday evening (August 17th) on its website.
