OPEC: lower oil consumption forecast for 2007

by jean63 » 20/01/07, 01:21

read the article

and that is not worrying as a forecast:

IEA Executive Director Claude Mandil has also just called on China on Thursday to increase its energy efficiency, stressing that current trends risked leading to an "unacceptable" situation: "If nothing changes, the consumption of energy will increase by more than 50% between 2005 and 2030 with dominant fossil fuels ”.

What I find the most terrible is this:
"If fuel consumption for transport increases, this is not enough to offset lower consumption of domestic fuel" at a time when consumption is normally "at its highest", notes OPEC.

Sorry but I still will not follow you on this subject ... Look at the acceleration of the panties of the "Big Three", don't you think it is? a little linked also to a too marked disinterest in the problems of energy consumption?

Ah :) I suspected it ...:)

Well still sorry but I think there is no link between the high consumption of the rican car and the drop in sales ... It is probably more a problem of external competition or a crisis in purchasing power. .

I also hope that maybe the Americans are starting (a little) to be tired of taking credit on credit and changing funds every 2 years ... In other words: would they start to think sustainably.
