: Arrow: The pellets GX53 are recent but seem to be promising for rapid development.

Already several brands offer them in fluo with powers of 7, 9 and 11W.
Many other factories are starting to offer LED lights using this same base.

It's still the jungle quality issue of the products on offer.
- Consumed strength
- actual light output
- lighting angle
- ...

I believe in the future of this base format very suitable for current fixtures.
As soon as I found the right bulbs, I jumped to convert the globes of our ceiling fans in the rooms ... plus some others (entrance, hallway ...)

Ah, it's recent? I thought it was the other way around ... a bit like the fashionable MR16 caps in the 80-90 years ...

In any case Megaman offers GX53 since working with (2006) ...

For me, it's new on the market (I'm not talking about the norm).
I've seen Leroy Merlin but the product is still little known ...
In any case, supermarkets are often behind innovations or standards. Electronic ballasts, they still do not know ...

In my opinion, it is becoming the jungle for all kinds of lamps, not just the GX53: very very variable reliability, light power also (for the same displayed electric power), etc ... The lumens are rarely indicated on the packaging ... And I never checked the indications when there are any. I have CFLs of the same electrical power but in terms of lighting it's day and night ... It's a brand that is doing the best (Osram). I have some that have lasted since ... and others "dead" very quickly ...

Between the "low-end Chinese", the Chinese "branded Chinese brand - like Lexman or Megaman), the Chinese sold in a network (Ikea) and the Chinese under the brand of European bulbs (like Osram or Philipps - which also manufacture in Eastern countries; not everything is Chinese at home), it goes in all directions ... Impossible to navigate ...

: Idea: Question luminous power; are there tables showing the Watt incandescent, Lux and Lumen equivalents for a given lighting angle.

No citro, but the "serious" manufacturers give the cones of light!

Example of light cones with GU10 bulbs from Megaman:

If you find a "serious" manufacturer you will probably have them ...

I think I saw diagrams on the packaging of osram GU10 halogen but I'm not sure ...
