As for the loss of sunshine, I understand that you lose 100% of direct sunlight. But in theory,
indirect sunlight is still 60% of what is exploitable by low temperature sensors in winter, in Alsace (including passive heating).

As your windows are not ideally oriented for indirect sunshine (they are not domes ...), you will not lose everything, but rather 60 70% of the solar gains you had before.
