Bonjour à tous
I just finished my new air filter box. Here is a photo below.
I put a fine F9 filter in it to stop the smoke from my neighbors' chimneys. (as if the 2 x 2 lanes next door were not enough!)
Chimney smoke made me even more of an effect than pollens, a horror! I had to cut the CMV
The system mounted.
I put all the details on my blog http://stopauxparticules.fr/
Does anyone know of a supplier who sells F9 mini pleat filters to cut?
Because, buying fitted filters, it ends up being expensive ...
Pollen filter, econological discount for VMC DF
I too have been looking for several years and I even asked lebonfiltre.fr for this ...
They did not react significantly, offering only cut filters folded in 48mm steps ...
I asked them again this week, no response yet ...
By broadening my search I saw that the Germans now offer discount compatible filters for my VMC, less expensive than my "cut-to-size" designs and better finished than the original filter ...
There is a commercial niche but no one seems determined to invest it seriously ...

I have been teaming up from envirofluides.com from the start
they have been making mini fold filters in F9 for a few months
the thickness is also 48mm.
I bought a F9 61x61 cm filter which I disassembled
http://www.envirofluides.com/contents/f ... is_04.html
I have 9 to 12 months now.
they also make F7 filters in roll recently
http://www.envirofluides.com/contents/f ... au_f7.html
I did not contact them directly, to buy them directly the bare pleats mini frameless filter.
You should try for your CMV.

To know in detail how the filters work as well as the difficulties and surprises to have a clean indoor air, a deep work to read:
http://publications.lib.chalmers.se/rec ... 165538.pdf
A summarized version:
http://www.energy-management.se/attachm ... ticles.pdf
Clearly, the minimum acceptable air flow must be used to filter to the maximum even if the original recommended flow is higher.
Also if you wash the filter well like linen, without damaging the fibers or sticking them and if you dry it quickly with hot air, to avoid mold, it will filter almost as well, which will be a great saving of 'money, because the filtering mechanism is mainly related to the geometry of the fibers in the filter and the air speed.

Fine filters supplier
Thanks for the link, The thickness seems to me excessive, but I think I will try anyway.
I finally found a supplier of fine filters, very fine ...
there is a 7 mm thick F8 filter
also a 9 mm thick F8 filter
there is even a 5 mm thick F1 filter!!
this one, we should be able to drag it everywhere!
I wonder what is the lifespan of these cutting filters, compared to mini fold filters?

Re: FILTER at Pollen, economic discount for VMC DF
Hello everybody
I discovered and read with interest this post which I dig up.
My house is equipped with a VMC DF with an outside air inlet connected to a Canadian well.
But the chimney of my Canadian well opens into the garden just under a peach tree which is currently in bloom.
And no question of snatching this peach that treats me from its seasonal peaches!
I have this season, and especially at night, my stuffy nose.
I think it's because of the pollen.
I have at my disposal filter cloth at one micron (or 5 microns).
I would like to know if this fine filtration will be able to filter the pollen.
I went through this whole post and no one ever talks about fine filtration: why? This seems to me to be an important criterion, however ...
PS: the chimney of my Canadian well is a real house chimney and therefore I can have a large filtration surface without the need to install a box!
