Hello
It depends on the type of engine
for me it was Renault turbo
and for you Toyota without turbo, frankly different
Mix diesel + gasoline or E85 ethanol: consume less and clean your Diesel engine

gasoline in the diesel
Hello, I would be afraid that it reduces the life expectancy of the engine.
On the other hand I wonder if we could not invent a sort of simplified filter that would put at the end of the exhaust pipe, which would not disturb the exhaust, but reduce the dispersion of these particles which we are told they are dangerous.
The market would not be juicy enough, and then change cars instead of improving what exists makes trade and industry work, but can our finances keep up.
Why buy a car, it would be necessary, to do well, practically not to leave the garage ...

I'm coming (hey yes finally after 140 000 km ... end of burnish what) to make my 1er full with 5% of SP95 (to start ...) on a BMW 118d of 2008 ...
Only with 5% there is clearly more flexibility, especially in low-speed recovery (eco driving requires). The engine seems less noisy in general ...
I used to do between 900 and 950 km with a full tank. (52L tank is 5.1 to 5.3 L / 100km) ... I'll let you know for the next level consumption ...
ps: a friend puts 10% of kerosene in his diesel and he noticed a noticeable improvement in the flexibility also ... but as it is not too green, the conso he does not care a little (on the other hand it is a fine mechanic and rated performance and motor behavior he knows ...)

1st temporary assessment after 5 days and 220km traveled with 5% of SP95, driving condition "as usual":
- more flexible engine is confirmed
- less noisy and more torquey engine "at the bottom" (I practice eco-driving in low revs enough and it no longer knocks at all when accelerating under revs)
- I am at 3 / 4 tank after 220km (the board computer estimates that I still have 780 km of autonomy) so in the end I think to win 50km (to be confirmed)
- conso according to the on-board computer at 4.8 instead of 5.3 L / 100km
It only remains to "democratize" the practice ...

Add him 10 has 20% sunflower oil ... It should improve the couple even more if you roll down ...
Found with the PC reading info on the diag socket on my 156 alfa 2001 jtd (common rail) It promotes the rise in pressure of the RC.
Regarding the SP95 yes it helps but in my case I would rather say that it can compensate for the high viscosity of my sauce ... (40 has 50% HV 5 has 10% of 95 the rest in diesel)

Ah Macro? Are you driving 3 fuels? You never told us! In what way as an engine? How many km? What performance?
The oil at home I do not know if it is wise ... even the diester is "strictly prohibited" by the manual ...
Well there I emptied more than half of the tank, the on-board computer displays 4.8 L / 100km, or since 2008, under the same conditions, I had never descended under the bar of 5.3 L / 100km (and the week before putting the SP I was at 5.5 L / 100km). On highway I went down to 5.1 L / 100km times.
So there is clearly an improvement in consumption between 5 and 10% (maybe a bit more). The following soon ...

Alfa romeo 156JTD sw 1l9 105cv 2001.
Bosch common rail high-pressure direct injection with booster pump in the tank as an anti-degreening device (my main source of trouble) runs from its purchase in March 2010 to 254 000km over 320 000 km to date
Yes it turns according to the T ° outside a mixture of 2,3, or 4 different fuels. HV recycled, diesel, sp95, and sometimes an oil from storage material (very fluid hydraulic moisture trap usable agricultural to avoid toxic pollution during hose breaks for example) I will not name and provenance : a friend .
No modification made on the exept motor provides a larger fuel filter to have a larger filtration area to promote the flow) and blocking of the original electric fuel heater to heat 100% of the time ( it is thermostatically controlled in the 30 °)
The consumption of this car is not very significant today because it serves me only for quick interventions when on-call (the 106 is not necessarily enough reloaded for these unforeseen movements and especially not fast enough ' 25km has to do within a time of 30mn dressing out bed included) and during towing sessions (often with more than 1 ton ass) ...
Last big trip made with Tours La Norma with 2 people on board and the break filled with luggage (food and ski equipment) by highway to 140 GPS 6.2l / 100. My nephew was following me with his C4 HDI 90 cut off. With 4 people and very much luggage on board did on the same runs (we filled up at the same time arriving at Modane) 6.5L / 100
The perfs ... Ben is an 105CV car that makes 1t300 empty. These performances depend enormously on the viscosity (very variable) of the HV that I put in. In general I do not put sp95 the summer but from the end of autumn it improves the start-up and especially the recovery at low speed (a painful on this car that has a box too long for what I do) ...

Re: Diesel Car: consume less with a little SP95
With the cold wave is the moment or never to put a little gasoline in his gas! Valid with modern engines too!
About 10% will facilitate cold starting (less knocking) and the engine will heat up faster ... we drive with a "heavy kerosen" ...
Strangely this article does not mention it: https://www.rtbf.be/info/societe/detail ... id=9847961

Re: Diesel Car: consume less with a little SP95
Now that gas has become cheaper than diesel, everyone (even stingy ... especially stingy) should put it ...
Yesterday I put 5L of E10 in my 58L of GO (ie 8,6%) ... I was looked a little weird at the pump but I bang!
Engine more flexible and less noisy ...
