I suspect that my message is off topic, but do you know the "carbide lamp" or "acetylene lamp"?
it was the headlights of bicycles, cars and street lamps of yesteryear, we find a fairly detailed site on the net:
http://www.acethylene.com/
can also be found on ebay, with carbide (ask the club speleology).

the principle: water drip (adjustable) falls on carbide, and releases a flammable gas, acethylene.
still no storage, the acène is burned through a gas injector, provided with its reflector it lit up the miners for a long time ...

my grandfather had a scare gun that worked with acetylene.
when the gas pressure was sufficient an automatic system made it detonate.
He released it every year during the cherry season ... :P

I found something nice you thought what. The function sought did not find any discussion on this news.

It has nothing against you toto but it's not good to sell dreams :)

Not large enough at the surface of the PV sensors in the diagram ...

Christophe wrote:1) With photovoltaic panels and electrolyser solution

Just for electrolysis powered by photovoltaic panels:

1kg = 120 MJ. Efficiency electrolysis standard = 20% (can be slightly higher but good it is for 1 order of magnitude: https://www.econologie.com/electrolyse-p ... -3747.html )
So you need 120 / 0.2 = 600 MJ of electricity per day is 166 kWh per day or 60 000kWH per year to supply the electrolyser!

A trifle !! 1 m² of panel in Alsace receives 1200 kWh of "gross" radiation per year ... let's consider PV panels with 20% yield, each m² of PV will therefore produce 1200 * 0.2 = 240 kWh per year and therefore 60 / 000 = 240 m² !!!

So it would take 250m² of PV panel to create 1kg H2 per day ... we quickly understand that it is a joke and the combination electrolysis + PV is a sweet dream ... unless the price of PV cells is divided by 100 ...

Why is it so ridiculous? Simply because we multiply 2 low yield: PV (20%) and electrolysis (20% also) ...
