I remember going to a German site where Internet users registered the brand of their car accompanied by a monitoring of consumption.

I could see that there is a guy who comes out of the phenomenal drinks (5,1 l / 100 ) with the same car as mine ... But apparently it drives really calm since it signals at one time "average over 120 km / h" for one of its drinks which comes out at 7,10 l / 100.

I did an edifying test this weekend:

I rented a Hundai H200 van, fitted with a 2,5-liter 103 KW engine (too powerful according to the rental company, they have already had 2 total claims since they had this model)

15 liters for 220 km on the highway (120)

with his VW transporter of equivalent size, my partner was at least 9,5 liters (2,5 liters, 90 CV)

like what, having a big engine can be profitable

-> I did 5 to 5,2L / 100 in the mountains while arsouillant (+ or - strongly) with a friend the 1st weend of September ...

As a reminder, my vfr is from 1994 (with good old big fuel) and is 94hp and has just finished running in (50 km ) and I never exceeded 6L / 100 (highway at ... some speed)

We always put everything on the back (or rather the foot) of the driver ... What do you think of this hypothesis (wacky but ...): is it conceivable that there are STRONG disproportions between new vehicles leaving the same assembly line?

Obviously the manufacturers would only give the consos of their "best" models ...

With my VFR I only see that as an explanation ...
